Dakota Pov "Where the fuck was you at? Fucking another nigga ? Then got a fucking nerve to wear that FUCKING OUTFIT" Lance shouted making tears fall from my eyes "No i went to club Baltimore with liyah and i dropped her off and came straight home" I responded lowly and started backing away cause he was coming toward me and i knew what was coming, so i started running toward the stair case as fast as i could. I still had my heels on i was terrified "I thought you were coming home tomorrow I'm sorry i should have stayed in the house" i cried while running up the last few steps, but before i knew it my hair was being yanked back making my neck ache "Don't do this Lance I'm sorry i won't do it ag..." i tried to finish but i felt his heavy fist connect to my jaw causing it to crack a little it wasn't broke or anything
"You really think I'm FUCKING STUPID BITCH" he said still having a grip on my hair now dragging me into our bedroom.After what felt like the longest drag of my life we finally made it to the room i felt my body being lifted then he tossed me on the bed making me scream in pain from hitting my head on the headboard. I scooter closer to the headboard as he slowly made his way over toward me he plastered a smile on his face and whispered

He'd beat me some more,he'd force me to have sex with him thank god I'm on birth control,and then he would sit me in the hottest bath water and my skin would burn and blister.After every beating he would go straight to sleep so i would sit in whatever corner he left me at for about 2 hours and cry, slowly make my way to the guest room so i can take a cold shower and that's what I'm currently doing.
"How did i get myself into this" i cried to myself while the cold water hit my face. I sat in there for about an hour then i got out ,dressed myself ,and laid down crying myself to sleep... I slowly made my way to use the bathroom and do my hygiene My face was beyond swollen but you don't really see bruises because I'm brown-skin, i got ready for work since it was 6:30 and i have to be there at 7:30 i threw my scrubs on I'm currently a nurse at "The Johns Hopkins" hospital eventhough Lance doesn't like me working i hate to depend on a man.
"Hey li" i answered my phone showing my bestie on the other end "Morning lani" liyah said calling me the nickname she gave me considering my middle name "Lei'lani" "Are you on your way to work" i asked her we been best friends since diapers her mom and my mom are like sisters so every where i work she works we can't get rid of each other "Yes MOM" she said making sure to emphasize the mom part " alright dirty I'll see you there" i hung up and made my way into the hospital after about 10 mins liyah pulled up... 3 hours later " we have a black male shot 4 times one in the stomach,Two in the arm,and one right below the heart WE NEED A NURSE AND A DOCTOR " the paramedic worker said I was stunned of who it was i couldn't move it's like everything just stopped and i went deaf.
