Early in the morning, I got up to take a run. I jogged down the street, letting the chilly air filling my lungs. I ran a lot to keep up with my size. I had nice muscles and I needed to keep that up.

After a nice run, I returned to my sleeping area. Kenny had so graciously found me a place to sleep at Headquarters so I didn't have to move around so much.

I took a quick shower in the shared bathroom and started brushing out my hair. I had long, thick hair and it got everywhere. As I finished doing my hair, a man walked in. He froze when he saw me.

"Sorry -" he said.

I set my brush aside. "It's alright. I just finished. There's no need to worry."

"So this is the right bathroom?" The man asked.

I packed my stuff up and headed for the door. "Yes, it is. I'll be on my way."

I returned to my room and changed. I braided out my hair and put on my aviators. I put on a stylish jean jacket with a lot of patches on it. I glanced at the mirror and smiled. I was a killer queen.

I left the room and walked into Kenny's office. I greeted him and sat in one of the two chairs. He finished writing before setting his pen down.

"Good morning, Tessa," Kenny greeted. "Your partner should be here soon."

The door opened and the same man from the bathroom came in. He looked at me a little longer than expected before sitting down.

"So I need you two to track down a runaway," Kenny said. "You two are our best agents and we know you can do it."

"Where were they last seen?" I asked.

"Colorado," Kenny replied. "You'll be leaving tonight. Don't mess it up for us."

I winked at him, grinning. "Why would I do that, Ken? I've got this."

"We've got this," the man interrupted.

I leaned back and looked at him. He met my gaze and we had a staring competition. We held it until Kenny stopped it.

"This is Agent Fury," Kenny said. "I don't believe you met."

I didn't let my gaze leave Fury's. "No, I have not. The pleasure is not mine."

"Really?" Fury said. "You seem like a lovely woman."

I rolled my eyes. "Don't call me lovely. We should be leaving soon. I want to get this over with."

"Of course." Kenny stood up. "I leave you to it. I'll see you when it's done."

I nodded and shook Kenny's hand before leaving. Nick came after me a few seconds later. He walked me to my room.

Before I walked in, he grabbed my hand. "I'm looking forward to spending time with you. It'll be a long trip and we'll have a lot to talk about."

I looked at him, a completely deadpan expression on my face. "I'm sure. I just need to grab my stuff. I'll meet you at the car."

Fury nodded and disappeared. I grabbed my stuff and went outside to the car. Fury was leaning against the driver's side door, aviators covering his eyes.

He smiled when he saw me. "Ready?"

I nodded, opening the backdoor. "Let's go. I'm antsy to get this over with."

Nick smirked. "As you wish, princess."

I glared at him as I got in. "I'm not a princess."

Nick laughed as he started the car. "Yes, Lady Tessa."

I flipped him off as we started driving. Fury laughed, a nice sound to my ears. I smiled a little, looking out the window. The music played in the background, making the ride more enjoyable. They escaped the city and started driving on the highway. The windows were rolled down and my hair whipped around. As we drove, Fury started singing to himself. The trip was going to be interesting for sure.
