CHAPTER FIVE: DEJA VU

3rd Person's Point Of View.
(She's In The Rain by The Rose)

"Dad, I told you, I'm fine."

"No son. Let me help you."

Jihoon was frustrated, yet again. It was just like yesterday and he was tired of it.

"Now, listen. I also experienced this and believe me that I also asked help from my father. I know a lot of people that can help too, and we can talk---" His father talked with no halt. But Jihoon had to put an end to it, he was still having a headache and he didn't want to deal with this today.

Jihoon stared at the wall then slightly nodded. "I'll think about it, dad. Let me handle this first. If I fail, then I'll tell you."

"Good."

People had finished their shift. Only Soonyoung and Jihoon were left in the floor.

Jihoon was still busy with paper works while Soonyoung was convincing his boss that it was time to go home. But Jihoon refused, most employees were gone which left the company's work double. He was helping the others to make things easier, but it was not something to be done in one day.

When Soonyoung started to tell him about planning on just living in the building, Jihoon knew that it was time to go even before Soonyoung gets dramatic.

Soonyoung headed out first then he followed. "I'll take my leave now." He had said then left with his car.

Now, Jihoon planned on walking to the bus stop because he remembered that his car was sent to fix it, but as he passed by their parking lot, a white familiar car was caught in sight.

"This can't be." He mutters to himself. His feet took him closer to satisfy his curiosity, footsteps were heard as he was all alone. "Is this fixed?"

With that hope clenched, his whole body wanted to melt when he saw that it was still in the same condition as last night. Useless.

The whole situation got worst when the rain started to pour. The cold raindrops ran down his scalp, sending a tingly sensation down his spine, as much as this gave him tingles, it also made him realize something.

Waking up with a headache and the employees talking about how drunk he was,

Soonyoung calling him about the Kang Enterprise,

Many resignation letters sent,

His father visiting and offering help,

His car broken,

And the rain unexpectedly poured leaving him soaking wet.

Everything had happened yesterday. As much as he wanted to believe that it's deja vu, all had felt so real yesterday.

"Jihoon!" A soft voice had called him.

Without even looking, he was sure that it was the same person whom went to him last night. "What are you doing?" As expected, an umbrella had shaded him from the rain. "I'll drive you home.."

Everything..

Everything is scaring him.

His feet stepped back as he eyed the girl. "I broke up with you already! Why are you still here?! What's wrong with you?!" He exclaimed in frustration. Rain had hit his body but he could care less. He just wanted to go home and go on with his life.

But here he was, repeating the day all over again. He was stuck.

Is it really just deja vu, or is it more peculiar than that?

The precious girl had her trembling lips parted, trying to tell him something despite the cold. Heart aching because she knew it was coming, she wasn't even surprised when he talked about breaking up. But there was a small part of her hoping that he wouldn't.

But he did.

"Jihoon.. you never actually broke up with me." She said, moving forward to have Jihoon covered from the rain. When Jihoon didn't move, she continued. "But I know that you wanted to.. so, let me do the honors."
