CHAPTER TWENTY: THE CRASH

3 years later..

I knew I was smiling when my eyes caught the both of them fooling around in the garden with their wonderful children. 'I'm happy for them..'

She's the most precious person in my life, I'm willing to do everything to protect her.

A hand cressed mine which made me turn to the person beside me. "You're making me fall for you more when you smile, Sanbi."

I rolled my eyes at him. "Oh, shut up, Soonyoung. You said you were sick of my face."

He grinned. "How can I get sick of your face, love?"

Kwon Soonyoung, my fiancee, is with me today. He said he wanted me to take me somewhere, but we ended up hanging out with the Lee family. I'm not complaining, though. That's my best friend's family were talking about. Why would I not like spending time with them?

"You know, I still can't believe you're the cause of this." I heard him mutters.

I'm not clueless, of course I know what he's talking about. Whatever I did, I'm grateful for. Even if it caused the both of them pain, they still ended up happy anyways.

"I'm not you're typical girl, Soon. So if you even have the audacity to try cheating on me, you'll definitely not like it." I teasingly threatened. He chuckled then continued cressing my hand that's on his.

But of course, that was half true.

Once again, I started studying Jihoon's happy family in front of us. A strong married couple with one little boy that I was so happy to see. "Why did you do it, though?"

I shook my head. "I..It's my job, Soonyoung. It's my job to protect her from pain and death." I sighed. "I know I took Jihoon's part too hard..by leading him into an accident. But still, everything is well now."

"Her parents.. it was your doings too right?"

"Yeah. But too bad, she decided to forget them and remove them from her life."

'Happiness is never a sure thing for people. They believe that life can never be the same, you won't be happy forever, you won't be in pain forever, but they still don't appreciate the things they have in sickness or in health.

Once you lose them, you'll realize their worth.

Humans needs to undergo pain in order to realize.

How cruel can that be?

The pain she felt with Jihoon was something I always hated, but with her love so powerful for the boy, I know that I can never remove the pain by removing Jihoon from her life.

The crash was something I did on purpose. Jihoon's dreams, her parents' dreams--they were all planned. To hurt them and make them realize her worth.'

"Sanbi!" Her cute voice was heard as she calls my name.

'You're someone that I am going to protect for the rest of my life..because you're my purpose. You're the reason I'm here.'

"Let's take pictures! The day is wonderful."

"Alright!"

'It is I, Kang Sanbi, your guardian angel
