CHAPTER SIX: THE BOSS

3rd Person's Point Of View.

Jihoon woke up all fine and normal. The moment he realized that he was alone in the house, no one cooking him breakfast, no girlfriend, and also realizing that he had no headache; he knew that it was a different day without even looking at the date. Soonyoung, however, did call as soon as he woke up. He was about to panic, thinking that everything was happening all over again. But when he did pick it up, Soonyoung told him that he had a meeting today.

So far, everything went on normal. Well, maybe the weird thing was that he entered the building with a bright smile on his face.

Soonyoung then walked towards him as soon as he saw him. "Boss, Kang Enterprise is waiting for you.." Hands extending to where the meeting will be held. The little guy, Jihoon, had his eyes widen.

"Didn't they turn down the offer?"

"What do you mean, sir? We just gave them the contract yesterday and they asked for more time." Soonyoung said, making Jihoon confused and terrified once again. The assistant leaned forward to his boss' ear then whispered what he wanted to add to his last statement. "I heard that the person you will be talking to is not the actual CEO."

"You already told me that, Soonyoung."

"What? I-I just found out about it to--"

Jihoon cut him off. "Enough playing, Soonyoung. I'll go now."

"What do you mean?"

"The CEO didn't want your company's name near ours."

A bit take aback with how bold and direct the old man had said that, Jihoon kept his poise despite being offended. "May I ask why?"

"I have to apologize, Mr. Lee. Even I am not aware of the boss' reasons."

Jihoon's head just shook. He knew that they didn't get the partnership, but he can't help but be discouraged once again. "Then, may I have a meeting with your CEO?"

The meeting with the acting CEO then finished a few minute later. The man told Jihoon that he would ring his secretary when the actual CEO had free time.

"How did the meeting go?"

"Soonyoung, may I ask what day it is today?" Despite the way that he said that without hesitation, he was scared to know the day.

He was scared that his assumptions were correct. What if it was the same day again?

"Sir, today is 13th day of April."

"What do you mean?!" His voice suddenly got louder making the assistant jump from the sudden outburst. "Yesterday was April 13."

"Sir, it was 12 yesterday."

Before Jihoon can retort, his secretary had knocked on his door. Soonyoung opened the door then asked for updates.

"That's exactly why I'm here. The Assistant of the CEO of Kang Enterprise had asked for you, Mr Lee. He said that the CEO was free now and only now."

Soonyoung snorted. "Why is that CEO feeling like a VIP? Treating our boss like he's just a company employ---"

Seems like, Jihoon had the habit of cutting off his most trusted assistant. "Take me there."

"Of course, sir." Soonyoung said with a forced smile. He did not expect his boss to be chasing a mere CEO.

Soonyoung didn't know that this partnership means a lot to Jihoon. He was willing to chase anybody for it. Just to make sure his company was stable and keep it that way without the help of his father that had insisted to help him the first days that this day came.

The day repeating was lost in his mind. Because unlike the first time, everything was happening differently. Like it was another day just in the same day!

Kwon Soonyoung is indeed still salty with how his boss stepped on his own tail just for that silly Kang Enterprise. But what can he do? He had no choice but to follow Jihoon to the CEO's office.

"She's waiting for you."

She?

Jihoon didn't expect the CEO to be a girl. But who cares anyways? He just wanted to patch things up and make her agree.

The building was at least two times bigger that his. Full of people unlike his and of course, the company is very successful. There we're stats pasted on the wall like it was their weekly or monthly reviews and just looking at it was easy to catch that they kept on going high.

With an eager heart, he opened the door to the office.

"Good morning, Mr Lee."
