CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: NOBODY
3rd Person's Point Of View.
A few days before Jihoon wakes up..
"It's been weeks now, Sanbi. What if he never wakes up?!" She let out a frustrated sigh.
She was so scared. Why did this have to happen to him? If he dies there are so much things that would be left unclear. She didn't know what he wanted to do with their relationship, She don't know if his parents would send her away like those parents in dramas.
"Relax, boo. Jihoon would wake up soon."
'I hope so.'

Mad? Furious?
She couldn't seem to stick her nose into what she was feeling right now. After so many years of being abandoned by her parents, they suddenly barged into her life like they just went to a business trip.
Her palms become sweaty when she saw them from outside the restaurant where they're suppose meet. It was something she developed whenever she's nervous.
'What am I even nervous about? If somebody should be nervous it should be them! They left me when they got divorced, left me here all alone, and just treated me like air after awhile. What kind of parents are they?!'
She tried calming down before she enters the restaurant. This diner used to be their favorite, but now it's only a bitter taste on her mouth. Did they purposely choose this place?
"Mom.. Dad." She called their names to catch their attention. "Why appear all of a sudden?"
"Dear, it's nice to see you again." Her mom said and she pushed a plate full of food towards her daughter. "Eat. It's your favorite."
The younger one let out a bitter chuckle. "I'm not here to play games. What is this all about?" They both froze. Did she catch them off guard?
As much as she was yearning for her parents warmth, she remembers those hard times when they left her like she wasn't important. How could parents do that to their child?
"Honey, your mom and I are sorry for leaving you. We dreamed about you dying and we were so terrified-"
"So, if none of you had that dream you wouldn't be here?"
The both of them were taken aback. The younger one, despite knowing the answer to her own question, she had this small voice inside her telling her that they were eventually going to visit her.
'Please say no.'
But when they didn't utter a word, her heart shattered. Was she that unimportant? She was practically forgotten.
"Forgive us."
Tears were about to fall and she didn't even want to hide them. She wanted to show them that they have hurt their child. She wanted to show them how bad they are. But most importantly, she wanted to show them that their apologies will never be accepted.
Her parents were out of words as they stared at their daughter silently sobbing. "N-No child should be abandoned by their parents because of their selfish reasons.." Her sleeves became the ones that wipped her tears despite the fact that they will never stop falling. "W-While your children sleeps well at night without worrying about their lives, I lived the rest of my life worrying about how I would survive the following day.. I was even stupid enough to wait for the both of you to come home."
"What does your children have that I don't? Why was I forgotten? Why did you leave me?"
People started looking at them when she stood up and was about to leave. "We're still your parents. Talk to us properly." He father sternly said.
Once again, a bitter laugh was heard. She was done being kind and she was done being bothered with how the others think. She was a mess but she could care less. "You were never my parents."
Was she too harsh? Was she too dramatic?
All those times she told herself that she was fine, even if she wanted her parents to be the ones welcoming her home. She was broken inside, but for the sake of her others she hid it.
She was a child who needed parents. But her parents were busy with their lives that she was forgotten. No child should be left by their mother. No child should be forgotten by their father. Nobody deserves to be abandoned like her.
"We dreamed about you.."
So, they thought she died and wanted to attend her funeral. How touching.
Her feet dragged her to her house then cried her heart out.
It's so painful. So painful.
