CHAPTER SIXTEEN: HEARTBEAT

3rd Person's Point Of View.

Jihoon felt terrible when he opened his eyes then quickly closed it after seeing the light. His minds couldn't sum up how he ended like this. He remembered Sanbi saying confusing stuff then tapped his forehead which made him open his eyes that were--closed??

"Jihoon??" A familiar voice had startled him. He once again attempted to open his eyes which he successfully did when the lights seemed to be darkened. "You're awake!"

"Jagi..?" He knew that voice and face so much. Eyes started to be filled with tears, was he hallucinating? The girl he loves is standing in front of him, face lighting up, and had quickly took hold of his hand.

"Jihoon, I'll be right back. I'll just call a doctor."

There, he just realized that he was in a hospital and his body seemed to be one with some wires.

'Just what on earth was happening?'

Once her hand left his, he got scared. 'Where is she going??' His heart was still grieving, but right now he was confused whether he was happy or not. She's standing in front of him. If this was a dream he didn't want to wake up.

He was ready to stay with her even if it wasn't reality.

The doctor entered then did some checkings, Jihoon noticed the unreadable expression on the doctor's face. He wanted to ask why, but he was too weak to do so. "This is strange. He's suddenly..well. We need to schedule an x-ray to make sure there's not more damage in his bones. But right now, he's fine but it would be better if he wouldn't move that much.

She released a deep sigh, probably from relief. "Thank you."

Slowly..

Slowly Jihoon can feel his heart beating loudly..

She faced him with a huge smile plastered on her face, oh how happy she is that her love is now awake.

"W-what happened?" Jihoon mutters. His throught felt dry but he could care less.

"You got into an accident and fell into a coma."

"What?"

Her head shook to the bewildered expression that can be seen on the boy's face. "Yes. Remember when..you came to my home drunk? Y-you crashed your car and it caused serious injuries.."

She bit her lips to fight back her tears and never said anything. His words pierced through her heart completely breaking her. "Just leave me alone, will you? I'm sick of you. Every thing..about..you.. sickens me." His back had faced her then walked away after saying and intentionally emphasizing each words.

Jihoon quickly went inside his car wanting to go as far away from her. His head was spinning and he could barely pick up the road. "Argh.." He groans as the car began moving faster and faster.

Meanwhile, Jihoon's love had her phone on her hand as she began running to catch up to the car, however it was impossible to chase. "AHHH!"  She heard screams as they were witnessing the scene before them.

While she..

She had her eyes wide open as well as her mouth, it happened so fast that she was still trying to process  everything in her head.

Jihoon, he was drunk and she let her drive on her own.

How dumb can she be?!

She felt her throat tighten when her tears started to fall. She needed to do something, a few minutes or so, the car might catch fire, and she couldn't let that happen. Unaware, she called an ambulance as her words weren't even understandable. "Please help!"
