3rd Person POV
"What was that for?!" Sam snaps at Uriel who is now just looking at Mia's unconcious body distastefully. He hates what she is with every fiber of his being and he hates even more that he has been ordered not to kill her or harm her. Apparently she has a purpose. But nobody but the remaining Archangels apparetly know what exactly that is.
"She was an interruption." He says simply.
"So this is your big plan?" Dean speaks up, looking to Sam then nodding to Mia, slightly requesting that he get her away from the two potential threats looming over her. He does so without a second thought. He didnt even need Dean to ask.
"Youre gonna smite the whole freaking town?"
"We are out of time. The witch has to die, the seal must be saved." Castiel says simply as he watches Sam cradle his twin effortlessly. In all fairness it isnt very hard, she is naturally small and lightweight, even more lightweight when taking into account she has yet to gain all the lost weight from her week of starvation. When alseep, the youngest Winchester's suffering could be seen quite clearly. The minimal sleep - even for a hunter - has left her skin pale and the bags under her eyes dark. The lack of self care has left her brown hair messy, even when pulled back out of her face. She was weak and vulnerable while unconscious and if completely human, Castiel would be surprised if she could even function as one while conscious.
"There are a thousand people here." Sam protests.
"One thousand, two hundred and fourteen." Uriel simply corrects.
"And youre willing to kill them all?"
"This isnt the first time i have purified a city."
"Look," Castiel says in an attempt to relieve some of the growing tension in the room despite the fact that the one that causes most of the hostility in the family is laying limp im the middle Winchester's arms. "I understand that this is regretable."
"Regrettable?" Dean repeats, right up in Cas' face like Mia was not too long ago, though this time dean is the one with the height advantage.
"We have to hold the line." He says back simply. "Too many seals have broken already."
"So you screw the pooch on some seals and now the whole town has to pay the price?" Dean argues, quickly getting angry. Despite his anger, there is no way that it would compete with that of his little sister's. He is very much aware of that. If Dean is fire, Mia is a volcano.
"Its the lives of one thousand compared to that of six billion. Theres a bigger pictire here." Casteil fairly points out, staring deeply into Dean's angry eyes.
"Right, cause youre 'bigger picture' kind of guys."
"Lucifer cannot rise." Castiel states, walking up so him and Dean are practically standing chest to chest. "He does and Hell rises with him. Is that something that youre willing to risk?"
"We'll stop this whitch before she summons anyone." Sam speaks up, gently placing his unconcious sister down on the nearby bed so he can focus primarily on advocating the town's safety and importance. "Your seal wont be broken and nobody has to die."
"We're wasting time with these mud monkeys." Uriel speaks up, causing Sam to look up at him with question and offence.
"Im sorry, but we have our orders."
"No, you cant do this. Youre angels." Sam protests, quickly loosing what little faith he had left in divine beings. "Arent you supposed to- Youre supposed to show mercy." He continues, momentarily being faltered by Uriel's laughter.
"Says who?" Uriel asks with an amused grin
"We have no choice." Cas backs up his angelic brother.
"Of course you have a choice!" Dean snaps. "This dick over here had the choice to knock out my sister. I mean, come on, youve never questioned a crap order? What, are you both a couple of hammers?"
"Even if you cant understand it, have faith, the plan is just."
"How can you even say that?" Sam says, hurt that the angels arent how he expected theyd be, despite the other two Winchesters trying their hardest to tell him that theyre dicks.
"because it comes from heaven, thats what makes it just."
"It must be nice to be so sure of youself." Dean remarks
"Tell me something Dean, when your father gave you an order, did you not obey? Did you not expect your sister over there," he points to Mia's resting body, "to obey your orders when she tried to have a life of her own? Or your orders to Sam to stop drinking Demon blood."
Dean doesnt acknowlede the comment, but rather plays a self-richeous card of his own.
"If you're gonna smite this whole town, then you're gonna have to smite us with it, because we are not leaving. See, you went to the trouble of busting me out of hell. I figure I'm worth something to the man upstairs. So you wanna waste me, go ahead, see how he digs that." He says as threateningly as he can muster
"I will drag you out of here myself."
"Yeah, but you'll have to kill me, then we're back to the same problem. I mean, come on, you're gonna wipe out a whole town for one little witch. Sounds to me like you're compensating for something." Dean looks back at Castiel to see his reaction and for approval, assuming Uriel works for him.
"We can do this. We will find that witch and we will stop the summoning."
"Castiel! I will not let these peop–" Uriel tries to protest, seeing the other angel take Dean's words into consideration but is stopped simply by Casteil raining a hand.
"Enough." Cas says, without breaking eye contact from the oldest brother "I suggest you move quickly." With that, he walks over to Mia, gently placing a hand on her head to wake her and flies away with Uriel.
