We arrive at the town of the hunt and I'm immediately getting out of the car. Even though it's supposed to be a stakeout and Dean is telling me to -and I quote- 'get my ass back in the car before I blow their cover'."You guys have got this covered. There's a bar not far away and I have had an extremely shit month." I tap the roof of the impala with the palm of my hand twice in quick succession. "Call me if you find anything." I say and walk off as if I hadn't just confused the hell out of my only family. I'm surprised Dean hasn't stopped me actually, considering he knows I don't drink more than one or two beers and the alcoholic brother of mine knows that my declaration was a 'I'm going to do ten tequila shots in a row' not a 'I'mma have a few beers'. But whatever, the apocalypse can wait a night.

I wake up to the sun blinding me, in a bed that most definitely isn't mine. I know what was going on, I've had one night stands before...just not in a while. And never so soon after a breakup or in this case...loss of partner.
I'm quick to get my clothes on, thankful that the significant other has already left. I pick up my phone, seeing two voicemails. Both from Dean.
Mia, we know what this is. It's a Rugaru. Call me back.
And
Assuming you're probably passed out somewhere or well... you know what I don't really wanna think about it. Just meet us back at the motel. It's the one on the same street as the bar.
I sigh and rub my face, looking in the mirror. I looked like shit, my hair was a mess and so was just about everything else but at this point I didn't really care. Instead I just walked out the house with as much dignity as I could and all the way to the hotel room. I could have called dean to pick me up but walking gave me a chance to sober up.
I walk into the unlocked motel room about ten minutes later, greeted with a smirk from Dean. "And here I was thinking you were stuck up and no fun." He comments and I flip him off, walking over to Travis and giving him a hug to greet him. "What's with the flame throwers?" I ask, not nothing with the catching up. We can do that later. "Fire." Dean says. No shit I think but let him finish. "It seems to be the only thing that can actually kill the bastards."
Fire. Great. Well I won't be needing a flame thrower. My hands can do that fine enough on their own.I sit down next to Dean and sigh, ignoring Dean's 'what are you thinking about' glance. Thankfully, my twin saves my ass from an explanation as he walks in preaching about the good in everyone and how not everyone is destined to turn into a full blown monster. All of this was going over my head mind you, I have no idea what they're talking about other than that it's killed with fire.
"So go vegan, stay human?" Dean confirms Sam's preaching to which he shrugs. "Or in this case just eat a lot of raw meat, just not..."
"Long pig." Dean jumps in and I look at him weirdly.
"Long pig?" I question to which Dean gins widely.
"Human flesh." He explains and my intoxicated stomach churns and I groan. "I'm never having pork again." I mutter as I get up and walk myself to the bathroom to throw up the remaining alcohol still in my system.
When I walk back out, Dean is still smirking and I flip him off again before realising Travis is holding out a cup of coffee for me. I smile thankfully at the older man before taking a needed sip of the hot liquid.
As what seems the usual now, Sam is fighting with someone. In this case Travis. His shoulders are tense as he tries to defend the man he doesn't even know and I'm torn. I understand what Travis is saying, that we should nip it in the bud before anyone dies. But I also get what Sam is saying about how until he has done something wrong, he's innocent. It's when he walks out that I realise he's defending himself and, without even knowing it, me as well.
