"Finally, I'm out of a damn bed." Eliza said as she was rolled in a wheel chair down the hall because now she was so pregnant that the doctor decided that she wasn't allowed to walk anymore. At this point Eliza didn't mind, her back hurt all the time and trying to walk only made it worse. "Out of bed and to a chair."
"It's the best we could do baby.." Alexander told her, his voice soft and sincere.
"I know and I do appreciate it, I just feel weird not walking."
"And not being able to see your feet?" Lafayette asked, and Eliza made a face.
"Yes Laf, it also feels weird not seeing my feet." She grumbled and both men laughed softly. "Don't laugh at me."
"We are not laughing at you, but, with you cheri."
"Well I don't remember laughing." Eliza retorted and Lafayette laughed a bit louder than before. "And There you go laughing at me again."
"You know it's a loving laugh babe." Alex said, leaning down and kissing her cheek. "Besides were about register people to vote, be happy, it's gonna be so fun."
"You hate registering people to vote." She retorted. "The last time we did it you went on and on about how stupid people are."
Lafayette began laughing again, harder this time, but, Eliza ignored him this time. "Well yeah, I hate this." Alexander agreed. "You, however, don't hate this."
"Yeah, that's true..." she agreed. "Just keep your friend... not annoying."
"That's impossible." He snorted.
Lafayette gasped. "But Eliza, I thought we were friends- you cut me deep."
"We are, and you keep making annoying comments about me being pregnant." She pointed out.
"Ahh, Yes... That is a good point..." he said with an awkward chuckle causing Eliza to now laugh.
The two laughed the whole matter off as they went to the event scheduled downstairs. And Alexander was right, she loved it. She loved helping people and her country and she loved making it better. She just hoped she could make it better.
