Chapter 28-Sunset Discovering

                                                   (A Nalu story Part ½)

A day later after Natsu and Wendy's little treasure hunt they are hanging out with Lucy and the others but decided not to tell them about their little adventure together, at least not yet. They were having a good time on the beach when Levy asked Lucy for the tour of the island since she has been coming here since she was a kid. "This is the beach called Tenrou Beach which named after the Island" Lucy said as she was giving the tour to her friends. "Tenrou Beach? I would never have guessed that?" Levy replied, "Yeah and not to mention this is the only beach on the island" The blonde replied, "Are you sure?" Natsu asked "Well do you see any other beaches around here," Lucy asked "Well No not at this area, but it's a pretty big island, so you never know" Natsu replied. Lucy gave him an 'I don't believe you' expression "But please continued with the tour" Natsu smiled as Lucy clear her throat and continued tour. She and the others walked around the area, where Lucy tells the names of stores and restaurants along a boardwalk right next to the beach. But also, Lucy has been getting interrupted by a certain pink haired loud mouth which seemed to know more about the island then she does. Lucy just ignored him continued until they got the Tenrou Tree. "This is the end of the tour the Tenrou Tree of the Island; they say it's the largest one that ever existed" Lucy stated as Levy and the others gasped at its beauty.

Natsu smiled and asked Lucy a question that she thought would be impossible "So how do you get inside?" all question marks piled over the head of other and stared at the pinked- haired boy. "Natsu that's silly you can't get 'inside' it's a tree" Lucy replied while laughing as Natsu gave her an expression saying, "does she not know?" Natsu chuckled as Wendy stared at her brother and then at Lucy. "Does she not know about the truth the tree even though she has been coming here since was a kid" Wendy thought and was about to say until she heard her brother started laughing. "Of course not, it was a joke, but anyway Lucy tell us more about the tree," Natsu asked, and he waited until Lucy stopped laughing "Well from what I heard the Tenrou Tree is a sacred place, and that should never temper. There is also a legend about a fairy living here a long time ago" Lucy stated as the other waited for more to heard "Go on" Erza said "Well ...that are all known" everyone sweat-dropped "Seriously" Gray said. "Yeah, Leo knows more then I do" Lucy replied. "I remember he told me the entire story one time when I was kid, but I was too young to remember what he said, and Leo only told me once," Lucy said. Natsu seems to understand she is talking about "The story began one-hundred years ago" he spoke as the group turned their head towards him. "The fairy who lived within this tree is said to be over hundreds of years old and is the guardian of the sacred land, and it's magical power" Natsu spoked as Lucy gasped "Magical Power?" she said as Natsu nodded and continued the story.

"The fairy wanted adventure, to sail the seas and visit new land but due to her duty, she wasn't allowed to leave the island" Natsu walked towards the tree as he told the story. "Then one day a group of men came to this island in search for a sacred treasure and there one of them met the fairy and asked her where the treasure was, but the fairy refused and asked the man to leave at once" Natsu touched the tree. "However little did either one of them know that the treasure got stolen, and the fairy vowed to get it back, so she and the men sailed to land in search of the missing treasure" as Natsu continued telling his story Lucy remembered Leo version of the story and it is the same one that Natsu is telling. "They found the treasure but then was betrayed by one of the man and because of his greedy heart the scared treasure turned the man into a monster and the fairy sacrificed her life to save him, even though the men was a jerk but learn about her sacrificed that man felt guilty and returned to this very island." Natsu pushed on the trunk of the tree revealing a hidden button, and then the tree opened a small door for people to fit. Natsu walked inside, and the others decided to follow him and then revealed a gravestone that said, Mavis. "He then made a gravestone for her." Natsu finished his story, and Lucy was shocked to discover the place that she has thought never thought existed, she also realized that Natsu's story was like the story that she was told as a child and wanted to know who told Natsu the same story. The group was so amazed about Mavis's resting place as a flower field surrounded it.
