Chapter 22-The Heartifila Family

Lucy was chatting on the phone with Natsu talking about what happened today and to a stocking surprise she heard of the name Jude Heartfilia. A man that Lucy was very familiar with in the past. "No...It can't be..... Why now....Father" she said to herself with tears dripping from her eyes after dropping her phone. "Why now of all times, you decided now to come to look for me" Lucy rolled into a ball on her bed and cried. Meanwhile at Natsu's place after Lucy accidentally hung up on him Natsu's reaction was shocking. "That was rude, didn't have to hang up on me like that" He redialed the number and as after a few rings it went to voicemail. Natsu left her a voicemail saying 'Hey Lucy it's Natsu, call me back when you can alright.' he hung up and laid back on his bed and looked up at the ceiling and started thinking back the time to where he met old man Jude and the poster that he gave to Natsu look like a younger vision of Lucy. Natsu still has the poster and took another look at it "So is it true...Could Lucy Star 'The golden Super Model' is Lucy Heartifila" a chuckle came out of his mouth. "This is stupid why am I even getting worked up about this I don't even know who the Heartfilia's are" He replied when suddenly a knock on the door. "It's open" the door revealed a little blue hair girl "Hey Natsu I heard you were talking to yourself so I wanted to check on you," she said. "Oh Wendy how much did you heard" the brother asked "well just the part about Lucy and a poster and Heartfilia" Wendy replied as Natsu gave her the poster and said "Take a good look at the girl in the poster" her sister grabbed it, and she saw a little girl with blonde and brown eyes. "She looks kinda Familiar" Wendy sat on Natsu's bed and while looking at the poster and then after a while something caught her eye "Say Natsu where did you get this poster," She asked "Some old guy at the Cafe earlier today he and Sayla were sending them out" Natsu replied. "Old Men what was his name?" she asked, "Jude Heartfilia I believe" the eyes widen of the little girl "just as I thought" Wendy replied as she ran out of the room calling for their mother. "Wendy hold up" Natsu ran after her "Hey Mom" Wendy saw her mother doing the dishes "What is it Wendy" her daughter the poster of the little girl as Natsu came down "Hey little 'Sis' why did you run off like that" Natsu asked, but Wendy ignore him. "A poster for a lost child oh horrible" Grandeeney replied as Wendy spoke "Yeah I know a man named Jude is looking her is what Natsu told me" her mother had a sad and glad expression. Natsu noticed that strange expression on his mother's face ."Yeah I felt the same way for a little, but then I noticed something" she pointed at something on the poster, and as Natsu and Grandeeney followed her finger, they see a circled H in the corner. Grandeeney's eyes widen, and she slowly turned towards her son "Natsu, that man who the poster to you, did he say his last name" she asked. "Yeah, Heartifila" the expression changed again "His a Heartifila" she grabbed Natsu on the arm and squeezed it "Listen to me Natsu you are too never get involved with that man ever again" Natsu was shocked to his mother act like something that he's never seen her do before. Wendy was getting a little scared as well "Hey mom what has gotten into you" Grandeeney realized what she was doing a quickly let go "Oh Honey I'm sorry I didn't mean hurt you" the mother hugged him as a apologies, and he hugged her back "You calm down" Natsu asked as the mother nodded her head. Wendy was still a shaken but calm herself down once she saw them hug and after a while, they were all sitting at the table. "I'm sorry I acted like that Natsu" Grandeeney started a conversion "It's cool mom, but I have to ask do you know do you know Jude Heartifila?" Natsu questioned "No not personally. I've only met him once I knew right then and there we weren't a pleased man" she replied. Both Natsu and Wendy were shocked "Really? When did you mean him?" Natsu asked as Grandeeney seem to have a hard bringing words out she about say something but Wendy interrupted "Hey Natsu" he saw her looking at the poster "Sorry to asked this but...where do you keep dad's letter" Wendy knew that Natsu keeps of their dad's letter "There under my bed in a shoe box, Why?" Wendy got up at ran up the stairs while yelling "I need to check something" Natsu watched his sister run and then turned towards his mother with head hanging low. "Mom, you alright" he saw tears coming down her eyes "Natsu I'm sorry, but the truth is..." Wendy searched under Natsu's bed and saw the shoebox, she pulled it out and looked for the letters. "Okay let's see here" she opened one of the letters and then the poster and put the two together. They both had the circled 'H' "I thought I had seen that logo somewhere before but why does Dad's letter have the same Logo" Wendy ran back downstairs with the letter and poster in her hand. "Hey Natsu have you noticed..." she got interpreted but a hand smack on the table and heard her brother yelling. "What are saying Mom is that the Heartfilia is behind Dad's disappearance" Wendy gasped as Grandeeney shaken her head back and front "No Natsu I didn't say he was the reason I said he could be a lead to your father's disappearance." Natsu sat back down as he saw Wendy walking up to him with a confused expression on her face "Wendy What is it? Did you find Dad's letter" Natsu asked as she nodded her head and showed Natsu what was in the letter and on the poster? "Do you see it?" Wendy asked, and to her brother's shocking expression she takes that as a yes.
