Chapter 39-Tortured

Natsu and Zeref found their father and their surprised their birth mother and after freeing the two and ground people with underwater masks and spears gun aimed at them. One of them took off the mask, revealing herself, having Larina speak her name "Annabelle," the blonde chuckled as Natsu repeated that name and said, "Wait for you a minute, a blonde hair woman named Annabelle? That is the name of the maid that my stepmom, Grandeneey, talked about in her story." Natsu stated as that name shocked Larina. "Grandeneey," she replied and then smiled as Annabelle became annoyed.

"Oh, I see, she is still around as well," Annabelle stated while annoyed. "Why are you doing this?" Natsu asked, and Annabelle replied, "Why? you ask? The answer is simple, it's for my revenge" both Natsu and Zeref were shocked. "You two have heard the story about Princess Larina and me, and that she was a total spoiled brat that treats her servants like the garage, I am sure that Grandeneey mentions that part to you, Natsu," the blonde stated. "Yeah, she did, but also told me that Larina changed after meeting our father, that she transferred into a better person because of his encounter," Natsu stated. "That may be true, and she did become nicer after some time, but that didn't change that I have been scarred for life because of her," Annabelle said in anger as Larina pulled herself up with the help of Zeref. "Annabelle, I am so sorry" She got interrupted with the yelling of SILENCE from the blonde as she ungracefully tortured the dark-haired women with ungrateful words.

Annabelle gave her story about the time after Larina changed her ways to become a better person and treated Annabelle and Grandeneey with respect. However, Annabelle could not forget the torture that the princess lay upon her as the blonde has been getting more punishment, they anyone else. She also mentions that she fell in love with Igneel but quickly learns that she did not have a chance with him as he only became interested in the princess. The one person who caused her so much pain is the one who took away the man she loves. Natsu and Zeref were surprised but not shocked because her story was believable since Annabelle was also torturing Igneel with her Nasty words. "Now you see why they have to be punished," said the blonde. "Why they are in this rat's hole it is because of their sins to make me look like a fool," she yelled that part.

There was a moment of silence until Zeref spoke, "So your revenge on our mother with reasonable. You wanted her to suffer, feel the pain of torture and mishaps. You wanted my mother to live the life you had many years ago, that is understandable. he said with a sharp and unappealing tone as if he suffers the same fate. "Then you understand, don't you Zeref after all, I expected nothing less from the young lor....." She was interrupted with the words, "However, your actions towards my family is unjustified, and I also knew that you are not alone with this," Zeref replied, leaving Annabelle in distress. "I know the royal family is involved, so there is no point of hiding it," he stated once again. "So tell me, Annabelle, what is your purpose with involving herself with the royal family," Zeref asked. "Oh, that well you see the king decided to let me have my revenge after he found me in an unpleasant state," she replied and then told him the story of when she and the king met and allowed her to plot her revenge as long as he gets what he wants. "I have fulfilled my goal of getting back to the people that cause me misery," she replied as Natsu asked her what the king's revenge was. "He is also towards Larina," she pointed towards the pink-haired boy and said, "giving birth to an unroyal child" those words had Natsu confused, and before he knew it, Natsu, Zeref, Igneel, and Larina got jumped from behind by masked people "What the? I didn't see them coming" Natsu scream as something surface from the water as it turns out to a submarine.

Annabelle orders the guards to take Natsu and Zeref to the king's chambers after throwing the four into the submarine as it dove back into the water and then re-surface on the other side near a temple. The guards brought them to the chamber where the king was siding on his thorn known as King Maxwell E Fiore.
