Chapter 20-A Merry Christmas Day

Christmas Day

Natsu was sleeping in his bed when Deja Vu from yesterday kicked off the bed by his little sister. "Geez Wendy do you have to wake me up so early every Christmas Day" he yowled "Well today is Special because we have guests" Natsu opened his eyes to what she said "Who?" Wendy dragged her brother down the stairs and into the living room "Good Morning Natsu" The pink-haired rubbed his eyes and replied "Good Morning Lucy." He froze to who he greeted "Lucy?" he saw the blonde sitting on their couch with a small little-gift-wrapped box. She smiled at him as he stood with his expression shocked "What are you doing here?" Natsu asked "Oh I invited her, along with her family" Grandeeney stated as Natsu felt an arm on his shoulder and to see it was Lucy's Brother Leo "Yeah I was surprised that her mother decided to invited all of us" Natsu felt the orange haired man rubbed his head and then repeated the word "Us? What do you mean by US?" Leo pointed his thumb into the kitchen and saw about four other people eating and drinking. "Also other there" he pointed behind the couch in the living room there five more. Natsu blinked his eyes a few times "Wait aren't they..." Lucy interpreted him by finishing the sentence "Yes all twelve of my sibling are here" The blonde smiled. Natsu was surprised as the Lucy held her hand with the little gifted wrapped box in the pawns of her hand "Here this is for you" she said. He unwrapped the ribbon and opened the box to see a keychain of a dragon "Wow thanks Lucy" Natsu greeted her "Your welcome" She replied. Lucy still had her hand out "Now then where is my gift" said the blonde "Oh right hang on let me go get it" Natsu walked up the stairs into his bedroom and then right after a few minutes h came back downstairs with a little small gift-wrapped box. "Here I meant to give to you at school but since you came unannounced" Lucy shook her head as she noticed the nervous expression on his face. "Oh, right well your mom and Wendy wanted to surprise you" Lucy took the little box, "and I thought it be fun" she replied as Natsu sweat-dropped "You don't say" she replied while Lucy unwrapped her gift and to see it was a keychain of a shooting star. Lucy's eye fluttered " I hope you like it," said the boy rubbing his head. The girl smiled "Thank you I love it" the two stared at each other eyes as if they were the only people in that room when all of a sudden the moments broke when Leo jumped in. "I don't want to ruin the mood, but you two are driving my patience" Questions marks appeared on both the blonde and the pink-haired head. "Patience for what?" Lucy asked then her brother pointed his finger upwards and "Those under the Mistletoe must seal the deal if you understand what I mean" Leo smiled a big grin as both Natsu and Lucy blushed "When did that get up there?" Natsu asked "It's been up the whole time dear," said his mother who is teasing him. "Don't lie to me Mom, you put it up there when we were looking, did you" Natsu replied as he sees his mother chuckle "Maybe" she mumbled as Natsu dropped his head in shame because he knows she has done something like this before. "Sorry about that Lucy you don't have to kiss me if you don't want," said the boy then he suddenly felt a pair of lips on his cheeks. Wendy and all of the girls in the room said "Awe" and the guys just smiled as Natsu feel backward and on to the floor like a deffest. "What is the matter, never been kissed by a girl before," Leo asked as he helps Natsu from the ground. "No it's just that I was surprised that's all" he blushed while crossing his arm and turning his head away from the crowd. They all laughed and giggled at him while Lucy chuckled with a flush on his face "Your so silly Natsu" her words caught the boy attention as his chest felt a strong heartbeat and then rubbed the back of his head. "Alright everyone enough making fun of my son and let's enjoy our little holiday get together," Said his mother "And then watch Ama Lee for the second time well first for you guys" Wendy addressed to Lucy's siblings, and they all agreed. Both Natsu and Lucy's family were getting to know one another, They were having a conversation, giving each other gifts and even Grandeeney made a huge fest for everyone to enjoy.

Both families of the Dragneel and the Stars join together to the Snow Fairy Festival at Natsu and Lucy's School and once again Ama Lee is premiering on stage singing the same songs she sang yesterday, and there is a bigger crowd this time. "Wow there is a lot more people tonight," Wendy said as she is sitting in the same spot as she did yesterday. "No kidding the numbers of people grew so much that they ran out of the room of the benches" Gray replied while more people were sitting in the spots next to them. Erza noticed they surrounded "No joke even our VIP seats are being filled" she stated as the people in front of her apologized for taking up space, but she easily dismissed it. Lucy and others were watching the show when they noticed that someone was missing, "Hey where is Natsu?" Lucy asked "Oh he doesn't like crowds this big, so he is probably on a roof somewhere" Gray answered her "Really?" she questioned while looking at each rooftop she can see from where the blonde is standing until she saw pink hair. "There you are" the blonde swarm her way into the crowd, towards the exit and ran into the school building. The girl stops to catch her breath and then stroll into the hallway and to the staircase to the roof. Lucy opened the door to Natsu sitting on the edge "Hey there" he heard her voice and turned his neck slightly were the eyes meet. The girl stared at the boy as her chest was pounding "There is again" she thought to herself. Natsu was having the same feelings but choose to ignore it or at least tries. "So what brings you here?" he asked "Well...I noticed that you weren't sitting with us." Gray said you didn't like a crowd this big, so he said you were sitting on the roof somewhere" Lucy explained. "So you came looking for me" Natsu replied, and Lucy gasped while trying to deny in a goofy state but also telling the truth at the same time. Natsu started to giggle to her statement. "You so silly Lucy" his words had her blush. "Care to join me," Natsu asked and smiled with an agreement. The show was still going on as Ama Lee was singing her heart out "She's terrific isn't see" Natsu said "Yeah who would have thought that little Millie was related to a superstar like her" Lucy replied. "Well I would be surprised when I found out, but then again she wasn't first celebrity that enters into our school" Natsu stated. "Oh, and who were be the other one that entered the school" Lucy curiously asked as Natsu easily responded with "You of course" The blonde gasped and then rubbing the back of her head as if she completely forgot being a supermodel. "Oh, right I'm surprised you remember," Lucy said "how can I forget since the first day of school everyone was surrounded you like a pack of wild dogs" Natsu stated "Yeah but ever since Erza decided to be my bodyguard those wild dogs cut in half. I mean I still get student asking for my autograph" she chuckles a small and the heartbeat inside Natsu's chest returned to a rampage. "Why is my heart pounding like this every time I see that smile is there something wrong with me" his thoughts in his head were saying. "Hey, Natsu" the girls spoke "Can I ask you something," the boy said spoke back "Sure what is it?" there was a moment of silents. "Do you enjoy the life you live?" Lucy asked, "What kind of question is that?" Natsu responded. "I enjoy the one I have now, and I think it's wonderful," Lucy said "And also I might have fallen in love" she whispered in her thoughts as she looks at the boy. "Well if you want to know I too enjoy the life I have even if I have to work to raise money while still in high school. But that is part of life you know" Natsu responded with a smile, and that made the blonde model Lucy about to do the unthinkable. "Natsu....close your eyes," the boy asked her why "Please just close them and do not open them until I say so okay" Natsu wasn't sure what was going on, but he didn't ask any more question and did as what he told and closed those green onyx eye. "Remember, don't open them unless I say so no matter what," Lucy said "Alright already you have my word" Natsu replied, and Lucy smiled while moving her head towards and just right at the moment where Ama Lee was singing the slow version of the song Natsu felt something soft on his lips. "What is this, don't tell me is she..." Natsu's closed eyes were twitching to open, but Natsu gave his words and never went back on his words. "Kissing me," his thoughts said to him "No wait she wouldn't do that I wouldn't be her type right" Natsu felt a pair of hands on both cheeks and the lips he felt slightly moved a little deeper. The song to the show was ending to it final note and then is when Lucy pulled away "Okay you're allowed to open your eyes again" Natsu's vision saw the blonde girl smiling at him and noticed she was blushing and heard the final note to the song and crowd was cheering. Natsu felt her head on his shoulder, and her arm around his "Merry Christmas Natsu" Lucy said as Natsu covered his mouth believing what happened 'really happened' then he heard the singers voice from the stage. "Thank you for joining us on this Holiday Festival" Ama Lee words were heard to the people and the shocking and surprised teenage boy with the pink-hair with a blonde beauty resting on his shoulder. Natsu eyes glanced at the blonde for a moment and then smiled "Merry Christmas, Lucy" he said as a hand placed on Lucy's shoulder and the night ended with a snowy surprise from the sky.
