Chapter 34~ Betrayed

Weeks passed and word got around of what was done with the boys that had broken into the castle the two having run off through the gates and claiming they had stolen from the castle from right under our noses which we took with great anger having let them live guards finding them raiding an outter village the food and silver found with them still.

"By the King of Lishengure you are put under arrest for the controversy of the Kings good nature" the guards said by regulation dragging them both back to Lishengure and putting them in the public stockades letting the people do as they wished to a point guards standing there just to regulate what the people did to the boys.

I walk out the people halting their actions looking to me as the guards took the older boy and brought him to the hanging post in the square. I walked to stand where everyone could see me 

"make heed to this boy! he will be an exsample to those who would use my people to get what they need! using my ways of life to better theirs!" I shouted over the noise.

"On this day these two boys will be hung for the lies they told for they did not steal from the castle or kill me as they planed!" I said gasps rippeling through the crowd of people.

 "Heed his exsample his brother will be next" I said as the hangman pulled a leaver the trapdoor beneath the older boy dropping.

I watched as he hung there struggleing and fighting ripping at the rope as he was slowly sufficated the rope having not broken his neck when he dropped, his eyes started to water and turn red as he slowly stopped moving his body going limp then being raised up and laid on the platform the hanging station being set up for his brother.

"bring the younger boy forth!" I called to the guards who nodded and roughly brought the boy up and put the rope around his neck the same speech being expressed for the younger boy before he too was dropped the rope snapping his neck killing him instantly both bodies being taken from sight of the people.

"Now return home for the day" I said walking back into the castle and going into my room slipping into my bed and laying there for a while before rising for dinner and then going back to the room and falling asleep the darkness of the day getting to me it was the first time I had seen a real hanging.
