As we set off through the gates everyone wore a smile and held a laugh in their chest our horses showing their high spirits as they tried to pick up a gallop feeling our excitement being so close to home. we let the road guide us closer to Kalunia with each step the very thought of seeing the people.

"I can't wait to see Kalunia have strayed from her walls for too long my dear" I said speaking to Joseline her smile not only on her face but in her eyes.

"let us get a move on then" she said giving into her horses need to gallop the rest of us following stead as we saw Kalunia's great walls in the haze of the horizon forming as the sun took its spot in the morning sky.

After a swift gallop we slowed stopping just before the great moat of Kalunia smiling as the guards stood tall on the walls giving us a feeling of strength, though the walls are high and unclimbable by any means, they still contain our home and the man who wished nothing more than to see his beloveds locket which resides in my pocket.

We waited watching as the guards looked down at us and signaled to the bridge keeper the mighty chains that hold the bridge rattling, slowly letting the bridge fall all the while a low groaning sounding as the bridge made a soft thud connecting the wood and iron to the cobbled path the great doors to Kalunia sweeping open the horses taking careful steps as we walked across.

Finally we were home and we knew it the people rejoicing as word traveled the horses trotting into the town some guards taking our horses leads as we dismounted near a shop in which stood the man who was waiting for us behind his little wooden desk.

"You have returned thou had'st a long journey for my locket" he said as he came up to us with open arms and gratitude beyond imagination.

"yes we have gone but a long way tracking the thief all over the middle kingdom" Darius said as he stepped forward.

"did ye bring it back for me...did you bring me back my girls locket brave Trystan" he begged as he looked at me.

"yes I have it, but we have one condition before we hand it over" I said taking a glance around me at the others who waited.

"Anything you wish long as I get it" the man said as he sat down in a chair inviting us to join him in chairs that were set out.

"we need to see that reward you promised us from before we left" after I spoke the man looked at me his eyes going wide.

"well sir the thing is since you left the king of Kalunia has incressed its tax" he said his eyes flashing across all of us.

"Is that so? well then perhaps then I will keep this" I said pulling the locket out of my pocket and slowly moving it in front of his face. "until you have what you promised I shall keep this out of your grasp" I said then got up and left the store the others walking out behind me.
