It is said that when one dies another lives it is the old magic that runs far and wide a life for a life, an eye for an eye, this has gone on for as long as anyone can remember though this old magic had been forgotten there is a place deep in the seas of Glorius where the old magic is still practiced this would bring Trystan back, but someone would have to die.
I got onto a ship at the edge of the sea and whispered a magical saying to it "blowtain travolan inkorin" the boat moving from the dock and starting smoothly across the water taking a straight path no matter what it faced. As the boat moved onwards I ate some of the food I had gathered and drank some of the wine from my pouch.
While I packed up my things the boat came to a stop the soft sloshing of water halting as well a rope floating up and over the dock as the little boat let me off on the dock and remained there. I started the long walk over the island making my way to the center of it where the old magic users lived and thrived .
"Hello?" I called out an echo following the silence.
"Hello?" I called again after waiting for some time still walking to the center of a long forgotten castle ruin the main throne room still standing the Kings throne had the remaines of a dead king he had been killed with a sword the old rusted sword still holding what was left of him sitting in the throne.
"tragic isn't it" said a voice from behind me which made me jump and turn around quickly.
"Joseline why have you come here this is the shadow island if I was anyone else you would be dead" said Shadow behind me.
"Shadow!" I shrieked and backed away.
"it's alright Jupiter im not going to hurt you I live here or at least I did before we were attacked" he said softly and calmly as I took it all in.
"this is Lakorius?" I asked as I looked around and old faded flag drapping down the wall the colors of the old fallen Kingdom of Lakorius.
"yes it is dear Joseline" Shadow said as he took my hand in his.
"what you require we can give but not the way you think we require a death of someone close to you...but there is a catch if you agree you don't get to pick the one who dies in his place" He explained.
"That's not fair Shadow!" I shouted at him ripping my hands from his.
"why must it be this way if I could pick anyone it would be my father or the kings son" I said looking down ashamed by what I said.
"well do you want this or not? now that you know the price you must pay" Shadow said ignoring what I had said.
"I will do it" I sighed looking down as he nodded a great wind moving through the island and it was done.
I woke up after being asleep for who knows how long I am in my bed and no longer on the island with shadow the memory of Trystans death wipped from my memory as well as Matilida's betrayal to him everyone forgetting exept him, this would be the mistake I could never forgive myself, I had no clue who had just died for him so I kept my eyes open all day counting my blessings when I found my friends alive and well.
"Good Morrow everyone" I said running up and wrapping around Trystan making him chuckle his warmth pleasing a few tears springing from my eyes as an overwhelming joy flooded my every sense.
"your alright" I said softly to just him before letting go getting a slight nod from him.
"come let us dine together we will have breakfast in the sun tavern" Trystan said as he led us off taking my hand in his.
