"Why do you ride the bus if you have a car?". I asked as we drove down the dark road towards her home.

"It saves on gas". She pointed out. I rolled my eyes and continued to stare out into the world.

"You seem troubled". Lathious whispered. Over the past few days, I've been able to control a little bit with what's been going on with me. If I had the energy I could actually talk to Lathious in my mind instead of out loud, but these days I just had none. Anna turned up the music and I mumbled low.

"I'm always troubled". I replied.

"What's the matter child".

"I just...I don't know what I'm doing anymore. It used to be just me and Anna in the world. Now I have all these people who rely on me and I rely on them. It makes my heart hurt on how weak I've became". I tear rolled down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away.

"Child. You have not become weak. You became a warrior". His words flowed through my brain like a river of never ending symphony. It actually made me smile a little.

"Do you think we can trust it?". Anna asked over the music. I reached over to turn it down and sat up in my seat.

"In what reference?".

"Brittney? As in shit for fangs?". She sneered. I chuckled and sighed.

"I think she's jealous of some things that's all but her loyalty is certain in the end". At least I think so. But I was sure to leave that part out. We pulled up to her two story blue home and parked the car.

"My whole life I was dreaming of this moment, and here I am". She whispered. I grabbed her hand and smiled at her.

"Here we are". I replied to her. She smiled and got out of the car. We walked into the house and our mothers were on the brown leather sofa with margaritas in their hands watching tv.

"Hey kids". Anna's mother said.

"Hi mom". Anna waved. I waved to my mother and she smiled at me and patted the seat next to her and I sat down.

"How are You holding up dear?". She asked.

"I'm fine mom". I replied.

"That's good! I'm glad to hear that". She started to ruffle my hair and she took another sip of her drink. "Alright you can go, I just wanted to hear your voice I suppose". I got up and left to go to the guest room I was staying in. The bed had purple covers and sheets but it was a queen so I couldn't complain. I sat criss cross on the bed and turned off the lights until it was black. I took a deep breath in and out and balled my hand up leaving just a little room in between and focused. A hot energy flowed out of my hand and Anna walked in breaking my concentration.

"Hey!".

"Anna! Don't you knock!". I yelled.

"What? Are you jerking off? Cause you have a boy toy and a girl toy to do that stuff with". She laughed.

"I wasn't jerking off". I hissed. "I was making energy".

"Oh is that what they call it these days?". She said while raising an eyebrow.

"Anna get out!". I yelled.

"I'm just kidding! I want to see it! I really really do!". I paused for a few seconds before letting out a huge sigh.

"Fine come in and shut the door". I mumbled. She did as she was told and she sat across from me in the bed. I began to concentrate again and she giggled.

"Why is it so dark?".

"Sh!". I yelled. I shook it off and she sighed. I focused the energy again and began to feel the warmth in my palms. The small blue light pulsed out of my hands and into a circular ball that hovered over my right hand. I raised it up to Anna's face and she gasped.
