"Should I wear the blue shirt? Or the red?". Tate held up two shirts in front of me while we were both getting ready for school. I hated mornings especially when I had to spend them getting ready for a place I hated the most, well almost.
"Red, it's my favorite color". I replied while slipping on my socks.
"Oh yeah? What shade?". He smirked.
"Crimson if you must know". I chuckled. He laughed and pulled his shirt off and threw it to the floor. My eyes gazed upon the god like body that stood before me. His pecks, his abs, his small blonde stomach hair. This is just plain wrong, but why did it seem so right?
"What?". He smiled and took a step towards me.
"You are a goof". I laughed. He smirked and put on the shirt. Dang it.
"We gotta go if we want to eat breakfast at the school today". He explained.
"Yeah pass. Their waffles are a joke, I'll just go to the library to find a book".
"No you're not". He demanded. It's been three days since the incident in the woods. Apparently I was gone for hours but it really only felt like minutes. Tate and Erica set up a search party to come find me, literally. Their whole neighborhood was looking for the new comer. Something about not being able to track my presence or something. Since then, Tate wouldn't let me leave his sight, which was kinda annoying but pleasing at the same time.
"It's just a book". I replied.
"It's just a few seconds for you to wonder off again". He scoffed.
"It was just a few hours, it's not a big deal". I added.
"Nine hours! You were gone for nine hours! You just up and disappeared Larson, you can't just do that". He whined.
"Why do you care so much?". I asked in a whisper, but he still heard me. He paused and I could see the hurt in his face.
"I guess I don't. We have to go or we will be late". He tore his gaze away from mine and walked out of the room.
"Not every broken mirror cuts skin". Lathious whispered. I sighed and grabbed my back pack and headed out of the house.
"I'm sorry Tate, I'm just new to this whole love and accepting thing I guess. Can we put it behind us?". I asked while hoping into the front seat of his car. He looked up from his phone and smiled.
"Yeah dude, no worries". He smirked. He started the car, and we headed towards the school. After a long while of silence Tate started up a conversation. "You still haven't told me where you went". He said.
"Because I don't exactly know where I went yet". I explained.
"You just walked out of the woods dude. Like nothing ever happened. What did you see?". Images of the hands and bearing teeth of the demons tearing up the trees haunted my memory harsh. I don't think someone could really get over that.
"I didn't see anything". I lied. I wanted to trust him I really did, but my gut told me not just yet, keep it hidden down.
"I don't believe you". He sighed.
"You don't have too, but it's the truth". I smiled. I lifted up my blue t-shirt to itch my arm and noticed Tate was staring at it. "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing". He tore his eyes away as fast as possible. Wait, was he really looking at me? Like that? He cleared his throat and started talking again.
"Tonight we're having a party". He smiled.
"Yeah I'm defiantly getting a book". I laughed.
"Oh come on, it will be fun!". He pushed my shoulder.
