"Keep running!". I yelled to them. The three people with the masks continued to chase us through the forest. Twigs snapped, leaves crunched, trees flew by us as we were at our max speeds. We finally came out of the woods and onto the street of some neighborhood with big homes. My mother said one day we would live in one of these houses if it was the last thing she ever did. This is where all of the rich people live, so I defiantly wasn't getting in here anytime soon. We booked it down the street as fast as we could. The sounds of our shoes echoed through out the night. We turned onto another street and ran to the back of a tall tan home. We hopped the brown wooden fence and I fell flat on my back on the other side.

"So much for the fucking plan!". Brittney breathed. We all laid there trying to catch our breaths for a second before we heard commotion on the street. I sat up quickly and looked through a crack in the fence. I saw the three people bolt down the road trying to find us, and we all sat deadly still. No one moved, no one breathed. The sound of the people got quieter and quitter until we no longer heard the sound of feet on the road. We all let out a huge breath and Anna stood up.

"This is ridiculous! I should be at prom being crowned queen!". She pouted.

"Are you fucking kidding me?". Brittney snapped. She shot up at supernatural speed and go tin her face. "We almost died! People did just die! Why don't you think of others right now instead of a plastic crown you stupid bitch!". Anna backed away and bowed her head holding her arm. I knew she hated getting yelled at, but she seriously needed that.

"What do we do?". Leslie whispered. I stood up and my legs were crying for me to sit back down, but I just couldn't. We all had a job to do, and that was to take down that damn council.

"Anna and Leslie, you go make sure everyone is off the streets. If they are not wearing a plague mask, they are not apart of the council. make sure they are in their homes or a building or whatever. Just make sure they're safe. Brittney and I will go track down that council". Everyone nodded and we started to move and I grabbed Leslie a the last moment. I kissed her hard and deep and she smiled.

"What was that for?". She giggled.

"A warm, alive kiss". She smiled bigger and hopped the fence with Anna, and they ran down the street.

"What now?". Brittney asked.

"We have to follow the direction of the council. They went to the right so that's our best guess".

"And what happens when we find them?".

"You're a vampire Brittney, snap their necks". I smiled to her.

"What about you?". She grinned.

"Me? Well I killed three people with my light didn't I? I'm sure I can manage". I winked at her. She smiled and we both hopped the fence going in the different direction then the other two.

"Larson we've been searching for them for over an hour and nothing. What about the others? They could have got Mavious!". She wined.

"I'm sure their fine. Nina is a demon and Mavious is literally death himself. Im positive they got away in time". We jogged down the main street and there was literally no one in sight. Cars were parked amongst the road, and buildings lights were off. Hopefully Anna and Leslie got everyone to safety.

"What the hell was that thing that made that noise? It was like a thousand knives being shoved into my head". Brittney asked as we slowed to a walk.

"I don't know. My guess, it was the Sapphire Stone". I replied.

"The what?".

"It's a witches tool. I need to get it to make sure Leslie stays alive after tonight and doesn't go back to spirit form".
