"Tea always helps a broken heart". Nina said while sitting down on the couch with me. She held up a small white mug with tea in it to me and I pushed it away.
"My heart is not broken Nina". I mumbled. She frowned and rose the mug up to my face. I pushed it away again nd she scoffed.
"Master said you need to drink the tea". She pouted.
"Master?". I asked.
"My creator. They made me into existence and my purpose is to serve them". She smiled. "So no tea?". She wined.
"No tea". I replied. She huffed and put it on the coffee table.
"Fine, but do not come crying to me later when you need it". I turned my gaze over to Anna and she was sitting by the window watching the night go by her. He didn't move, she didn't speak, she just wasn't here. I wanted to help her, but I had no idea how to. I have only healed physical injuries, not emotional ones. Which I still can't get that gift down yet. But at least my cheek healed up. I don't know what snapped in Tate like that, but I knew it had something to do with Erica. He was under some sort of spell because I knew he would never hurt me. I mean why would he ask me to bond with him and then claw my face the very next day?
"She didn't pass through you?". I asked Mavious. He was standing over by the kitchen chatting with Brittney and he shook his head.
"I didn't see her. Usually all souls come to me first before they cross on". He explained.
"If she was a spirit I would have seen her, but she wasn't there". I replied.
"Something could have gotten to her first". He whispered quieter. Brittney stepped into the living room and she nodded her head towards the kitchen to all of us but Anna who was still in her own world. I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder.
"Ill be right back Anna okay?". She gave no response and I went to the kitchen anyways. I wonder what will happen to this house now that her mother is gone. I guess my mother was out looking for a job of all things. Or at least that's what she left in her note. Once all of us were in the kitchen Brittney closed the swinging door so the conversation could be more private.
"Look, I know all of this is bad with her mom dying and everything, but we have worse problems to worry about right now".
"Like what?". Nina asked.
"Uh hello? The wailing? It's in three days guys. Then god knows how many people will be strolling the streets killing us off one by one". She explained.
"You're right. We need a plan, but not right now. Not tonight". Mavious said. There was a knock at the front door and we all stood there confused for a second. I walked out of the kitchen and Anna turned her head from the window finally.
"It's your mut". She mumbled. For hours that's all she said. Maybe that was all she was able to say. I opened the door and sure enough Tate was standing there with his hands crossed by his waist.
"What". I snapped. He looked at my face and studied it for a second.
"Your healing abilities are still in affect, that's good". I stared at him and noticed he had a small purple vile in his left hand. I looked down at it and back up at him without moving my body. I started to build up my energy into my hands just in case.
"Oh this is for Anna. I heard what happened and thought she maybe wanted to clear her head for a bit". He explained.
"She doesn't need it". I snapped.
"Like hell I do". Anna shoved me out of the way and opened up the vile. She chugged the liquid and threw the vile down which made it shatter on her porch. "Is that all?". She asked. Tate stood there a little baffled and she sighed. "Well then thanks for the vile". With that she slammed the door in his face but he didn't go away. I still saw him standing at the porch waiting for me to come back. I sighed but Anna started to stumble across the floor. I opened up the door again and huffed.
