I was tired and sore, but I was on cloud nine.
"He is so freaking cute" Nadia said watching Jalen in my arms
"Right? I just want to eat him up" I said stroking his little hand as he peacefully slept.
I was glad I was able to hold him for awhile before anyone else came to visit him. Last night Chris' Mom, Trey, and Nadia all met him and got to hold him. It was nice to have him to myself this morning.
Bending down Nadia picked up Kaiya in her arms, "look Kai, that's your baby cousin"
Kaiya gave him one look, then look back at the toy in her hand causing me and Nadia to bust out laughing.
"She did 'I don't care" I said mid laughter "I can't with her"
"She starting to get a little sassy" Nadia said as we both sobered up laughing.
It was just Nadia and I in the room currently.
Chris had left the room to head to the store with his mom and Trey to get things for the baby. I needed a whole diaper bag, a car seat, baby clothes, pacifier's and more.
Then there was the embarrassing stuff I needed for myself that his mom was going to help me get ahold of because I couldn't trust Chris to get the right things.
"How was having Chris in the room for the birth?" Nadia asked as she bounced Kaiya in her arms.
"He was good, really motivating surprisingly...that was until he got a little queasy" I said laughing lightly
"Of course" she said rolling her eyes playfully
"The Doctor was all like 'the head is finally out' and Chris was like 'I wanna see'. When he looked and you could just see the color drain from his face, but he tried to play it off like he was good" I said laughing at the memory
"Yep that's Chris for you" she said laughing lightly before looking at Jalen
"So everything is good with Jalen? They ran all the tests?" She asked changing the subject
"Yes, actually. Before you came this morning, they had wheeled Jalen and I to the testing area. He passed all of them as far as I know. He's getting circumcised today too, but I gotta wait 'til Chris gets back because I don't wanna watch. If I do I just might ball my eyes out" I said with a pout as I looked down at a sleeping Jalen "Chris has been such a big help"
"He better be" she said before Hunter walked into the room
"Hand over my nephew" Hunter said excitedly as he walked to the side of my bed
"Uh wash your hands" I said back laughing
"Yes, yes, I shall" he said as he excitedly walking over to the sink in the room and washed his hands
