"You know I could still stay if you want me to" Celine said sitting on the love seat in the living room breast feeding.
"Nah go have fun and spend some time with Andrew" I said teasingly as I finally looked up from my phone and set my gaze on her
"How many times do I have to tell you, it's not gonna just be me and him" she said rolling her eyes
"Don't get so defensive" I said laughing
"I'm not" she said back scrunching her brows
"Whatever you say" I chuckled before pocketing my phone and heading to the kitchen to get something to drink "Just say you like the guy and go"
"I won't say it cause I don't" Celine said
"Bruh the way your ass jumped up and agreed the second he invited you out is sign enough" I scoffed
"Chris I'm not funna play with you" I heard her say as she laughed dryly.
I opened the fridge and grabbed out a cold water bottle.
"I'm just telling you how I see it" I shrugged as I walked back to the living room whilst uncapping the water bottle and taking a sip.
"Is that jealousy I sense?" Celine asked raising an eyebrow
"See you not funna play with me now" I said to her
"I'm just telling you how I see it" Celine said mocking my words from earlier.
"Man Whatever you know I'm right. You be giving this Andrew dude the time of day, yet I was tryna get at you, you brushed me the hell off—but it's cool" I said nonchalantly as I took another sip from my water bottle
My statement brought back all the memories of the times I tried get at her, failing miserably each time.
"I didn't give you the time of day cause you are a whole ass NFL wide receiver who didn't have a good reputation. I was not in for the baggage that came with you, which I could laugh now at how things turned out" she said laughing lightly "but Chris lets be real, you probably didn't have the purest intentions. I'd probably end up just being another short term girlfriend that you tossed aside when you got tired-"
"Nah not you Celine" I said cutting her off cause this is where she had it wrong.
"I really genuinely liked you and would had willingly put in the work to get with you. I never pursued someone as much as I did you" I said setting my bottle down on the coffee table
"Cause you saw me as a challenge the one person who rejected you" she said back causing me to scoff
"You think I haven't been rejected before? Hell yeah I have! You're not the first, but you're the first I actually continued to go after" I said back "you wanted just one night and I gave you that cause I knew at that point you were stubborn and were never gonna give me the time of day"
