Insanity:
This entire chapter. This chapter is the reason I decided to write this book. This chapter is literally the most ridiculous thing I have ever endured in my entire life. Insanity is this chapter. Also this chapter is about 4,000 words, so it's insane and also you've been warned.

"Wish me luck."
I wasn't incredibly nervous about my meeting with Stephanie, but the worries were still there, lurking in the back of my mind. Seeing the look that Paige and Madison had exchanged when I asked them about what had been said made something in my chest feel off, but I wasn't sure what they could have said that would make me feel so strange. It was a gut feeling, something that I knew wasn't going to be good...but I had ignored it for the past four days in hopes of not going completely insane.
"You got this." Ashley looked up from the couch as I started for the door, "And Stephanie is actually really nice—way better than Rebecca. So don't worry about it."
"I know." I nodded, sighing, "I just don't know what Paige and Madison said about me, and that's what worries me. They obviously said something bad, otherwise they could have just told me that they talked about the stuff we all got out on Sunday."
"Yeah, that was a little weird." Ashley agreed, "But I'm sure it's nothing big. Just go over there and be your confident, amazing self and Stephanie will be super great."
I nodded, opening the door to the apartment and stepping out.
The hall advisor's office was on the first floor of the building, just down the hall from our apartment. I had never been in there before, since I had only ever seen Stephanie once in my life and it had been in passing during the first week of Fall semester—almost exactly six months earlier. I knew she was married and had a toddler, but other than that I only knew what Ashley had told me.
I knocked on the door and heard a loud "Come in!" from the inside, so I did. The office was smaller than I expected, with a little desk and two chairs on either side—one of which was occupied by the hall advisor herself.
"Morgan, hi!" Stephanie stood up as I walked in and closed the door behind me, "I'm Stephanie, your hall advisor. I'm sure we've met before, but I am absolutely awful at remembering people."
"No problem, I am too." I laughed, taking the seat opposite her. "It's nice to re-meet you."
"You as well." Stephanie wasn't intimidating at all, which I was grateful for: she had short brown hair and a smile that didn't seem like it was capable of being fake. "I don't want to jump right into the awkward stuff, but I do have to meet with another girl in about an hour, so do you mind if we start?"
"Not at all." I replied, leaning back in the chair slightly as my heartrate started to pick up. My Fitbit was going to think I was exercising or something.
"I assume that you're aware of the fact that I've met with your other roommates before this meeting."
I nodded.
"I did that because I had reports from Rebecca about some animosity in your apartment, and I wanted to make sure that everyone was happy with their living situation. It's part of my job to ensure that everyone in the building is happy and comfortable when they're at home, and I felt like your apartment might not have had that atmosphere."
