𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗐𝖾𝖾𝗄𝗇𝖽
𖩩 : "todoroki is still in first place, while L/n is not so far behind and Bakugo is right behind her! Oh this will be interesting!" Y/n rolled her eyes at the mention of the boy's name but she couldn't expect any less from Bakugo. She soon caught sight of the third and last obstacle and luckily she managed to catch up with Todoroki as she stopped behind him.
The obstacle seemed to only be land mines that were buried beneath the dirt, as the two looked at the obstacle Bakugo had also caught up to the two but instead of stopping or going through the obstacle he went after Todoroki. He was ticked off more than usual, "Bastard! Your declaration of war was to the wrong person!" Y/n took the opportunity to strategize as to how she was going to get past this obstacle and take the win.
She sighed and saw no other options left, "I could always heal myself if all things go to shit," the girl shut her eyes as she jumped on to a land mine intentionally, she opened her eyes seeing that she was now mid air and took this opportunity to redirect her body to land farther ahead of the boy's in a form of a flip.
She landed onto the ground avoiding any contact with the other land mines managing to make her plan a success but she wasn't the only one who had come up with the same strategy. As she got up from her landing she heard a loud explosion, but instead of seeing Bakugo, she saw a certain broccoli haired boy make his way towards her with immense speed from the land mine. "Sorry but—," Y/n turned towards the direction of the finish line and ran through the land mines, avoiding each one with ease, "— I can't lose, not even to you Izuku."
Y/n was now in the lead with Izuku not far behind from how fast he was going, "L/n has taken the lead! That's true girl powaaaa!!" Present Mic exclaimed as the two were getting closer to the finishing line, Y/n knew that one land mine wouldn't make him stay in the air for too long, so knowing him, he would've dug up two to three for such trajectory.
And within seconds Izuku managed to take the lead, "Midoriya has gone past L/n, the lead is his!" Y/n started to feel her stamina begin to decrease but she was not ready to give up and neither were Bakugo and Todoroki who were not too far from her.
And soon they both managed to get past her as well, but then Y/n caught sight of another land mine and decided to use it the same way she had the first time, she jumped on to the land mine and did the same moves as last time but this strategy was different— instead of landing onto the ground she landed onto the scrap of metal Izuku had used to stay in the air.
"Wha?! L/n's using all of the resources she can get, including Midoriya's scrap of metal", Present Mic commented as Y/n looked down at Izuku who was still in shock from her unexpected move, "Just know—" the girl smiled to her friend before preparing for her next move, "—Todoroki isn't the only one who is planning on beating you." Y/n jumped off of the scrap of metal as she saw the finish line getting closer, she quickly got up and ran for the finish line but the boys weren't ready to give up.
Izuku , Bakugo, and Todoroki were determined into taking the win no matter what it took, "Who will win this round? L/n? Midoriya? Bakugo? Or Todoroki?!" The audience were eager into finding out which of the four would take the win. "Give up! You're not winning this! Over my dead body!" Bakugo called out to Y/n making her suck her teeth in annoyance, "Just watch me bitch boy!"
Y/n began to pick up the pace, her legs had begun to feel sore and her breathing was more rapid, the boy's were now inching closer and closer to her. She huffed as she placed a hand over her chest beginning to heal her legs and some of the other wounds she had received from jumping onto the land mines without a shield— the soreness in her legs going away for a moment, but long enough for her to keep her spot in first place.
"Midoriya and Bakugo are tied at this point, getting close to L/n who is in the lead!" Bakugo grit his teeth, enraged that the girl was in the lead instead of him, his explosions becoming stronger as Y/n was seconds away to crossing the finish line. "L/N!" Y/n heard Bakugo getting closer by how loud he was, but luckily she wasn't too far from the finish line, she took a sigh of relief as the arena came into view but to her dismay—
"The first person to make it back into the stadium is.." she wasn't the one to cross the finish line despite her efforts, "Izuku Midoriya is our champion!" Y/n caught her breath after crossing the finish line in second place, she hunched over with her hands on her knees as she watched the drops of sweat from her face hit the grass. She was slightly upset that she didn't make it to first place but nonetheless was happy to see her best friend win.
Y/n stood up right after composing herself and smiled as she watched her friend soak in the cheers of joy that echoed throughout the stadium for him. "Looks like you took this win Izu," Y/n walked up to the boy and ruffled his hair making him look at her with tears in his eyes accompanied with a cheery smile, "I'm proud of you," Y/n praised him with a closed eyed smile.
As for the other two who had taken third and fourth place they were slightly pissed that Izuku had managed to win, Bakugo more enraged due to the little bet he had made days prior with Y/n, but he was not going to let Izuku win the next challenges. "Give it up for all our contestants as we prepare our results!" Present Mic announced, Y/n healed the rest of her wounds that she wasn't able to heal during the challenge as she awaited for the next one, "The first game for the first years is finally over! What a game it was! Now let's take a quick look at the results shall we."
Midnight pointed to the screen behind her as she announced the rankings, "Only the top 42 will be participating in the next round, so don't get too bummed out if you didn't make it, we've prepared more opportunities for you to shine," the woman licked her lips as her daughter shook her head in embarrassment of the sensual action, "Please restrain yourself a little," Y/n sighed.
