𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐒 𝗄𝖾𝗇𝖽𝗋𝗂𝖼𝗄 𝗅𝖺𝗆𝖺𝗋
𖩩 : y/n didn't expect for the boy to come after her, Izuku activated his quirk but held back as much power as possible to prevent from injuring her badly if he accidentally managed to actually hit her.
Y/n didn't have much choice but to shield her face and brace for impact, at the same time Momo created a shield with her quirk as Izuku aimed at her making him hit the shield instead, "That was a close one!" Momo sighed, relieved that she had made it in time. Y/n moved her arms away from her face and thanked Momo before moving the shield from her view.
"Smart move Izu," as she complimented Izuku took advantage of the moment seeing that the girl's neck was wide open, Y/n noticed this and as his hand reached for the headbands on her neck she quickly pushed his arms away but it wasn't far enough for him to completely miss, "With just 11 seconds to spare Midoriya has a headband!" Present Mic shouted. Y/n slightly laughed— before moving the shield from her view, Momo figured out what Izuku had planned to do and quickly advised Y/n to switch the headbands around.
"They tricked us!" Izuku said as he looked at the head band he had snatched, "We knew you'd come after it, so we switched up the headbands," Y/n high fived Momo after she explained what they had done to the boy. "Let's start the count down!" As Present Mic began the count down both Todoroki and Izuku's teams came after her as well as a certain blonde who had decided to join in on the fun last minute.
"Kaminari!" Y/n took advantage of the opening she had of dark shadow and immediately instructed Kaminari to shock him, "Deku!" Bakugo didn't know the current situation and instead of going after Y/n's headbands he went after Izuku leaving his teammates behind. In desperation Iida attempted to activate his quirk but quickly realized that it was hopeless after putting it on overdrive with the last move.
Y/n was now starting to lose her cool, they were now out of options with no where to go, "Who has the points?!" Bakugo shouted before slowly turning his head towards Y/n, his anger increasing by the second after realizing that he was too late, "L/n!" Soon he went after her, all three of them were inching closer to Y/n, Todoroki from the back and the other two from in front of her. As Todoroki reached for her headband something prevented him from getting any closer.
Some kind of barrier had been placed around her that prevented him from getting the head bands. Y/n noticed that someone was behind her and turned to see him struggling to get to her, she rose a brow at this—confused as to what the boy was doing and why he wasn't taking action before seeing a small purple circle in front of his hand, but it became transparent again after he moved his hand away.
"And time! Team L/n takes the win!" Instead of cheering like the rest of her teammates Y/n was in a daze, multiple questions circling through her brain all questioning as to what that weird circle was that had prevented Todoroki from reaching her. She didn't have any other powers at least not that she knew of, so what could it have been.
"Let's take a look at the rankings. In first place is Team L/n! In second place comes Team Todoroki! In third place is Team Bakugo, and in fourth comes Team Midoriya!" Y/n sighed as she got out of her daze and looked at her teammates with a smile plastered on her face, "You 3 are amazing, I can't thank you enough for your efforts," the trio returned her sweet smile and praise with ones of their own.
"These four teams will advance to the final round! Now let's take an hour break before we start the afternoon festivities, see you in a bit!" With that Present Mic dismissed everyone for their break, Y/n took a moment before walking away from her group. "Hey where are you going? We're going to go grab a bite, you want to join us?" She looked back at Momo, "I'll be right there, I just need to talk to someone for a moment."
The dark haired girl gave her a nod in response before walking away with the rest of Y/n's classmates. Y/n sighed as she looked around for the person she had been meaning to talk to. It didn't take long for her to finally find her since she had been conversing with the other Pro Heroes that were watching the sports festival from the crowd. "Hey mom, can I talk to you in private," the said woman turned to face her daughter slightly confused but nonetheless agreed.
The two walked until they reached the outside of the stadium, "What's up kiddo?" She asked as she crossed her arms over her chest awaiting for her answer. "Do I have a quirk that I don't know about? Like one that creates barriers or something," the woman's once confused look soon turned into a shocked and saddened one.
Y/n noticed this and rose a brow in confusion, "Mom? What's wrong?" The woman stayed silent as she placed a hand on top of her daughters head, Y/n felt the atmosphere shift between the two, "Y/n— this isn't really the best—" she interrupted her mother before she could finish her sentence.
