𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝗆𝖺𝗋𝗂𝖺𝗁 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗌𝖼𝗂𝖾𝗇𝗍𝗂𝗌𝗍
𖩩 : the first morning in Y/n's dorm room was new. She was always used to the sound of her mother's yelling in the early mornings, urging her to wake up and get downstairs on time without fail. 'One thing to get used to from now on.'
The girl made her way out of bed before gathering her toiletries and making her way to the shared washroom down the hall. She greeted her friends with a 'good morning' before getting started on her new routine.
Once the girls had finished their morning routine's they each got dressed and ready to go for their classes after finishing their breakfast. "Y/n, let's walk together come on!" Ochaco said enthusiastically as she gestured for the girl to join her and Tsuyu.
Y/n smiled, "You two can go on ahead, I'll see you guys there" the two girls gave a nod in response before making their way to class together. The girl watched as they gradually got farther before turning her attention towards the door.
Instead of seeing a head of green hair she was met with blonde spikes, "What are you looking at band aid brand," the boy said as his ruby eyes formed into a threatening glare. Y/n's pupils dilated as she stared at him for a moment before finally responding, "Nothing," she simply said as she turned her attention elsewhere.
Bakugo was confused as to what had gotten into the girl, let alone if it really was the same girl he had deemed his rival. He scoffed before taking his leave, the boy that Y/n had actually been waiting for exiting the building moments after him.
They greeted one another as they turned towards the direction of the main campus, wasting no time in getting to class on time. Once they had taken their seats, Aizawa immediately ran through the details of their lesson for the day.
"I believe I mentioned this earlier, but your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licenses," he informed his students, continuing after receiving assurance from the class they understood.
"Do not take this lightly. A hero license means that you'll be responsible for human lives, you can imagine that the exam to receive one is very difficult. Only 50% of students pass the tests required for these permits each year."
"50%? It's that difficult?" A student asked, receiving an answer almost immediately, "Yes, and in order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new."
The students attention was soon turned towards the sliding door that was abruptly slid open, Y/n smiling at the woman that stood at the entrance. "Good morning mom," she greeted as the woman smiled in return, "Morning kiddo!"
"You'll be creating two ultimate moves" Aizawa stated, the students responding in utter shock to their new lesson. Though Y/n pondered as to what exactly she could do for an ultimate move as a healer.
"What we mean by ultimate, we mean a move that will ensure your victory against an opponent," the hero known as Ectoplasm informed as he stepped into the classroom.
"An action so unique to your identity that no other person could hope to copy it. Simply put, you must learn to lean into your strengths" the hero known as Cementous, added on as he stood next to his staff members.
"Your moves represent who you are, these days most Pro Heroes have an ultimate move. Those who don't are fools. They may sound abstract but we'll explain more once the day goes on, for now change into your costumes and meet at Gym Gamma," The students gave a nod in response to Midnight as they soon did what was instructed.
Once the students had changed into their costumes they gathered at Gym Gamma as they awaited for their next instructions.
"The job of a hero is to save people from all sorts of dangers, crime, accidents, and natural or man made disasters. Of course the licensing exam analyzes how well you can all deal with such things. But it won't just be fighting, your ability to gather information and make quick decisions will be judged in addition to how well you can communicate, cooperate, and lead others."
Y/n turned her attention from Aizawa to her mother who had stepped forward, "Every year a new testing system is used for these qualities. One thing is especially important, if you want to be a Pro, you must be able to prevail in battle." The woman glanced towards her daughter, a smile making its way onto her face.
"If you're prepared you won't have to worry" Y/n smiled in return to her mothers encouraging words as she turned her attention to the rest of the students once more, "And those with an ultimate move will have stronger results."
Cementous added onto his staff member's words with additional encouragement of his own, "Your circumstances should not dictate the results of your future battles— learn to be consistent and you'll be sure to become a great asset in the front lines" the hero ended off with a smile.
"Your ultimate move shouldn't necessarily be an attack; take Iida's Recipro Burst for example, this sort of temporary boost in speed is valuable enough that it falls into the category of excellence we're looking for"
"So basically what you're saying is that it's like our trump card. A move that gives us the upper hand against our opponent," Y/n summarized Ectoplasm's words. "That's correct dear daughter of mine" Midnight praised as she provided an additional example.
"The training camp was interrupted, but the practice you did get out of it to help develop your quirks was part of the process needed to create these defining abilities"
"Now that you're all caught up, you will each be working hard to develop powerful moves of your own for the next two weeks or so, this is how you'll spend the remainder of your summer vacation," Aizawa soon turned his attention to the structure Cementous had created for their lesson, his students followed his gaze as they stared in awe.
"Prepare for intensive training, in addition you should be thinking about ways you can improve your costumes if needed, especially now that you have a better understanding of your quirks," Midnight stated as she flashed a small smile towards her daughter.
"I expect each of you to go plus ultra, do you have it in you?"
