"Let my friends go or I'll slice your brother's head off," Chan demanded, glaring at Felix' direction. His eyes slowly went to Hyunjin's horrified ones and Chan almost lost it, he won't lose him again this time. He should've followed what his instincts were telling him from the start, he should've cared more about Hyunjin and the others than Minho. His hands were becoming itchy to just kill the blonde boy right there, he wanted to, he really do! His brain was trying to force him into things he should've done awhile ago but his heart kept telling him otherwise.
"Stop this, Chan," Minho whimpered quietly as he held onto Chan's arms tightly. "You have to stop!"
"Shut up, okay? I have no time to deal with you and your bullshit," the greenhead's voice was stern and cold that it almost didn't sound like the Chan Minho was fond of. Chan looked at Felix and tilted his head for the answer which made the boy sigh.
"Minho's safety is top priority, release the captives," with that, all the soldiers dropped their weapons onto the ground and one came to unlock the chains that kept Chan's friends held. Hyunjin ran to Chan once he was free but Changbin stopped him, he fought with his friends for he needed to get Chan because he wasn't going to leave him there alone.
"Go, I'll be fine," Chan's tone became soft towards his friends and Minho envied that. He wanted to stay at Chan's good side always, he needed affection, all the attention and love Chan has to give and Minho ruined the chance to get the things he's been wanting to live with. He was certain he loved Chan and he wasn't going to take that back.
Hyunjin took all of his best not to run back to Chan as his friends guided him back to the woods, his tears were just behind his eyes and in any moment soon, he's going to breakdown. "We need to get Chan hyung!"
"If we do, we'd all be dead," Seungmin argued, grabbing a hold of Hyunjin's hand and ran along with the others. Neither of them wanted to leave their leader but it was Chan's command and they couldn't do anything to go against it. They will hide around the woods and stay under low profile until.. Chan comes back, they hope so.
"Your friends are released," Felix glared at the rebel's direction, awaiting for another wrong move to end him. "Withdraw your sword, you insolent rebel!"
Chan spent his whole life waiting for his chance to avenge his family and this was it, all the pain and tears he grew up with will all be worth it once he kills the next successor of the Jungle city.
But he couldn't for he was trapped inside his own feelings called love. He loves Minho and nothing could ever change that, not even his rage for the city. Chan heaved out a deep sigh, retrieving his dagger from the blonde boy's neck but soft hands stopped him.
"Don't draw your knife," Minho's voice was obviously shaky, he was scared. "They will kill you if you do."
Chan knew that the boy loved him dearly and realized it too late. What was happening wasn't exactly under his control anymore, if he was going to die, then so be it. His friends were freed anyway and Minho was going to stay the most inside the white palace, Chan was aware of the boundaries between him and the feline blonde.
There was no happy ending for the two of them.
He pulled back his dagger and dropped it on the cemented ground, the iron item clanging against it. The moment he looked up at Minho, someone fired a gun and the world seemed to slow down at that time. Chan stumbled away from Minho, his tears rolling along his cheeks as his breathing became rapid and thin. Another fire at him and that was it, he felt the hard concrete ground hit his face and blood gushing out from the wounds he had.
The last thing he saw was Minho being dragged away from him, Chan tried to reach out but he was losing more blood that his vision went blurry. "Throw him in the river, we're not giving any honor to his death," then everything was black.
Was it all done?
But he didn't give up yet.
