"I need you to bring the-what's wrong?" asked Sorn, her brows now knitted together with eyes that were filled with concern. She sat down beside Chan and rested an arm around the boy, rubbing his back for he looked he was about to cry any moment soon. "Did something happen?"

Chan's breath hitched, his hands were cold as ice and his face was bathed in sweat from rushing. Of all the time, Hyunjin would show up in the market, why today? Chan wasn't ready to face any of his friends, he didn't want them to get into trouble again. He wasn't going to lose the only family he had. "I miss them," his voice cracked as he tried to held his longing back, Sorn's hand helping. "I want to tell them that I'm alive, I want to go and protect-"

"Then you go," Seunghee was standing on the doorway, her arms crossed over her chest. "Hyunjin is crying day and night because of the thought you are dead, Woojin is struggling to be the good leader as you were. Everyone is suffering because of their lost, Chan."

"It's better this way, noona-"

"You know, even with the physical change you've encountered for the past few months, Hyunjin was still able to recognize you," said Seunghee, which alarmed the curly brunette. "He wants you back, they need you."

Chan bit the inside of his right cheek, debating whether to listen or not. "I don't want them to live in the shadows again."

"Living in the shadows is better than having their hearts turn shallow, what do you say Chan?"

"So you were alive even they shot you?" asked Jisung with his usual enthusiasm back and Seungmin giving him a witty look. Chan chuckled as he nodded at the questions flooding in with Jeongin on his lap.

"Course, he'd be alive! He's Bang Chan," Changbin exclaimed, staring at the now brunette Chan with shimmering eyes.

"Says the one that cries everyday, ranting about the said Chan hyung's death," Seungmin snorted with arms crossed and the glare he always used to give Changbin. Woojin and Hyunjin were staring at them from the kitchen, their hearts melting at the sight.

The older could see the way Hyunjin looked at Chan, it was way more than a friend would do. It had been since then and he smiled at the thought but frowned after reminding himself that Chan was in love with none other than his own enemy, Minho. It would've been nice if Minho wasn't added to the frame, then Hyunjin could've had his happy ending with the leader. "Say Hyunjin, you still have feelings for Chan, right?"

"What, how did you know?" With cheeks dusted with pink, Hyunjin stared at Woojin, horrified. Woojin laughed wholeheartedly, like a proud parent but frowned almost immediately when he saw the look on Hyunjin's face. "It doesn't matter, he's in love with Minho."

"Woojin, how's your foot?" came Chan as he put a hand on the oldest's shoulder. Woojin just smiled, saying that he was alright and already got used to it. Chan smiled back, nothing had changed the moment he left and it's overwhelming. Then he turned his gaze to Hyunjin. "Hey."

"Hey," the younger replied, his cheeks turning even redder than they already were. Woojin cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention.

"Let us let Chan and Hyunjin talk," he announced and the youngsters were already anticipated to listen to the conversation between the two. But Woojin cleared his throat again. "In private."

They all groaned and followed Woojin to the kitchen where he'd serve snacks to keep them away from the two love birds.

"I heard you've been waiting for me," Chan started casually, his hands inside the pockets of trousers he wore. Hyunjin kept fidgeting with his fingers as the color red and warmth spread across his face.

"Well, aren't all of us waiting for you?" His voice was small, almost inaudible for the brunette before him. Suddenly boosting of confidence, he tried to cover the blush that was painted on his face. "They were all busy crying over you, and Woojin hyung still wasn't comfortable with his leg and I...Well, I wanted to help him, you know? I t-think it's, uh, normal to be...to be worried for the others. So-"

It all happened fast for Hyunjin, too fast that he didn't realized Chan was leaning in until Hyunjin's lips were sealed with his. The lips he longed to kiss was against his thick ones and it felt a little surreal, like dreaming awake. Nevertheless, Hyunjin kissed back as Chan started to take the higher level, kisses trailing along the younger's jawline and earlobe. The pleasure Hyunjin felt was real, he wasn't dreaming at all. Chan was actually kissing him, right there and now.

He slowly placed his arms around Chan's neck while the older wrapped his at Hyunjin's thin waist. Their lips moved in sync as their hearts started to connect. Soon enough, their breaths began to surface and they needed to pull away with a bit of thin thread of saliva. Hyunjin's face was flushed but Chan's remained pale with a hint of red on the cheeks. The corners of their lips were then tugged into a contented smile, and Hyunjin thought he was the happiest when someone popped up in his head.

"But C-Chan hyung, Minho-"

"He'll never know I'm alive, don't worry," Chan didn't let him finish and began to lean again but Hyunjin turned away. "What?"

"That's not what I meant," his eyes were about shed hot tears if Chan wasn't going to answer him the right way. Did the kiss happened because of love or pity? Did the feelings for Minho had been swept away from Chan? Did he really feel the same? Hyunjin closed his eyes, and let out a weak, shaky breath.

Three fingers lifted his head from hanging sadly, his brown orbs meeting with Chan's ocean eyes. "I love you, Hyunjin. You and only you."

Not from afar, his eyes were beginning to sting and his heart cracked. His knuckled gripped the bow that it turned white, he gritted his teeth in anger. But what could he do? After doing what he did, he couldn't expect for Chan to love him but he still hoped.

Hope for forgiveness and love, but the heaven's sure knew how to punish someone who has sinned greatly. As if the sky feels what he felt, it began to rain. Minho stood still, completely unfazed by the powerful lighting and roaring thunders. The fear had dread him til then, he couldn't bear it no more.

With his wet hair hanging in front of his eyes, he looked through the window and witnessed Hyunjin and Chan were already smiling at each other. Though it sucked to be the loser, he was happy that Chan was able to smile again.Een if he wasn't the reason for it.
