"Keep going, they'll send even more troops to get us," said Chan as he pushed his members forward, the bullet in his shoulders kept sinking deeper and felt more painful and painful whenever he moves. Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation-he got shoot in his right leg and he didn't even notice it. "Ah- Jesus."
"Chan hyung is having a problem," Changbin told the others and everyone rushed over to see Chan's condition. Woojin hissed when he saw the blood on Chan's shirt.
"He got shot but he will be fine if he can stop the bleeding first-"
"Can't we just go instead so I can get these bullets off me?" Chan growled, his eyes sending death glares towards his members. Everyone hesitated, Chan might pass out, worse, die if they won't stop the bleeding.
"But hyung-"
"No!" Jeongin was taken aback by that, Chan never raised his voice to him especially when he's the youngest while Chan was even more shock that he yelled at Jeongin. It wasn't him, it was the Chan that died a long time ago, that kind of Chan that was so scared and neglected. He, himself, didn't know that that Chan was still alive.
"Those guys were here to get us, separate us and I just," he couldn't keep his tears, Chan never broke down in front of his members. He didn't want the others to think of him as a weakling, why? Because he's the leader but how Chan was at the moment, no one thought he could be like this. "I just couldn't lose you."
"At least, let us help you this time," the new boy stepped out, grabbing the knife from Changbin's boots. He kneeled beside Chan and pushed him to the side of the underground tunnel. "I'm not going to lie, this will hurt like a bitch."
"I didn't say I'd let-ah!" Chan yelped in pain when the boy digged the bullet on his shoulder with the knife. He held onto the boy's lap and squeezed it as hard as he can, his face scrunching every time the knife sunk deeper within his flesh.
Hyunjin tried to cover the gruesome scene from Jeongin but the youngest's eyes were already closed tightly shut and got his hearing blocked by his palms.
"Got it," the boy cheered with the bullet already in between his slim fingers. Chan breathe heavily as his shoulder felt lighter without the bullet being stuck anymore. "His leg will be fine since it doesn't bleed much."
"It did hurt," Chan hissed as he received the towel Woojin was holding out and covered his wound with it. "Thanks."
"Minho," the boy said, fiddling with his fingers with the bullet bathe in blood. Chan stared at him with a confused look. "Minho, it's my name."
"Well, thank you, Minho," the corner of Chan's lips curved up a little and Minho giggled, helping Chan up. "Let's keep going."
The others turned their backs with a shocked expression, all have the same question in their minds; did Chan just smile? But they all kept it to themselves for questioning it to the leader will only enrage him.
After taking a few turns within their secret underground tunnel, they came to an old rusty, metal door. Chan stepped forward and pressed his palm against a blue screen beside the doorway. The screen turned green with a check in the middle after scanning Chan's hand.
Stepping back along with his members, the metal door began to slide open slowly and it revealed a computer lab with a hint of Chan's other things. "From now on, this is our new hideout. There's a three story house above us right now, choose your new rooms but I want everyone to be with a roommate," said Chan as he took a step inside the lab. "In case of emergencies, you won't be alone and help each other."
The youngsters, Jisung, Seungmin and Jeongin went up ahead, squeaking excitedly while Woojin, Hyunjin and Changbin followed behind. Chan looked around and saw Minho, unfazed. "Is something wrong?"
"Uh, no, I just," Minho stuttered, now fazed by Chan's stare. "I don't have someone to be my-"
"I will be, don't worry," Chan smiled faintly, giving Minho a thumbs up. "Yeah?"
