The sun was somewhat brighter and the sky was even more blue than the rest of the days they've spent waiting for him. Hyunjin sat above the roof of their new hideout, hoping for the familiar green locks towards his direction.

Jeongin had been locking himself up in his room, Seungmin and Changbin never got into petty fights, Jisung was talking much less, and Woojin was trying to get himself used to his fake leg. Everything has fallen into bits and only Chan can fix it, but as each day passed, their line of hope becomes thinner and thinner. Their leader was already dead yet they still waited for him because it was his promise, after all to come back in one piece.

Hyunjin was the one who's in even more pain than the rest yet he never missed a single day waiting atop of their new hideout. The good thing was no one was hunting them down anymore and it was all thanks to Chan's sacrifice, the government wanted his head so he gave them what they asked for; his death. His friends would rather run for the rest of their lives hiding with Chan by their side than to live freely without someone to guide them anymore.

But Hyunjin knew better, he knew Chan wasn't the person who would give up that easily. Chan has his ways to survive, how to mislead anyone. How long will Hyunjin keep waiting? A year? Two years? Seven? Because no matter how long it will take, he won't stop hoping that Chan will return and he knew that their leader would never go back with his words.

"Hey, lunch is up," he heard Jisung call for him, Hyunjin just shrugged it off. He wasn't feeling hungry, the desperation of seeing Chan was dominating all over him that he couldn't think about anything else but Chan, it was always him.

"Where are you, Bang Chan?"

"We're running out of food here," Seungmin announced as he opened the almost empty fridge. Woojin came in, slightly limping uncomfortably, still trying to get used to his foot.

"I'll go find food," the eldest stated, grabbing his coat and threw it in his arms. He was about to step out when Changbin blocked the doorway. "What's wrong?"

"You can barely walk straight, hyung," said Changbin. "I'll go, I know how to hunt for meat now so you gotta leave it to me, okay?"

"You can't even hunt down Jisung," Hyunjin teased, wearing his coat and walked pass between the two on the doorway. "No hunting, we could just go to the market in the city. Who wants to come with me?"

It was no surprise that no one wanted to go. They were still adjusting to have Chan gone, they couldn't possibly bare to stand somewhere where they saw him for the last time. Hyunjin smiled, and waved goodbye to his friends before marching towards the city.

When he arrived in the market, young girls would start to squeal and giggle, not knowing that the handsome boy was once a rebel and committed treason for how many times. Hyunjin didn't mind it all, the attention he gets whenever people are there. No one would look at him like he was a criminal, no, instead they'd just stare at him in complete awe.

Thanks to his good looks, the vendors would always give him discount at whatever he buys. He would just smile, for plus points. Would the members be happy to hear about this? No, of course not. If they knew he was happily reaching out to the people in the city, they'd explode! Which is why he kept it a secret.

He was enraged too, but if he acts like it, who would take care of his friends? Woojin isn't still capable of taking over Chan's leadership. Until he recovers, Hyunjin will watch over his friends.

"Thank you," he took the bag of meat from the butcher and thought about the mental list he made earlier on what to buy. Milk. He went to someone who he knew would give him nice and warm cow's milk. "Hey, noona,". he greeted with a smile and a hand.

The girl, much older than him, brought her head up and smiled back at him. " Hey, Hyunjin ssi."

"Seunghee noona, did you do something with your hair? You look different today, i even had a hard time looking for you," Hyunjin chuckled, touching her hair.

"Idiot, I just cut it short! You're just trying to flatter me for the milk, aren't you?" Seunghee put Hyunjin's hand away, laughing along. "Well, let's wait for awhile. The bottles aren't here yet."

Hyunjin nodded, just stood still in front of the stall. He swayed the bags on his side, lightly tapping his foot on the ground. Just then, he remembered something and called out for Seunghee, "Noona-"

"Noona-"

Another boy called, in unison with Hyunjin. He looked at the boy who had wavy brown hair, captivating eyes, an oddly familiar smile and was carrying two huge boxes on both hands. Seunghee clapped her hands and went to the boy, "Hyunjin, this is the boy I told you about before."

"You talk about too many boys, noona."

"No, the very recent one!"

"The one that you and your friends saved from the river?"

With that, Seunghee happily nodded and looked at the boy. "Hyunjin, meet Chan and Chan meet Hyunjin, our handsome regular costumer."
