I'm Back

I walked back into the apartment to find Nik pacing back and forth.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked.

"Trying to think of getting to Elena." Nik said.

I glared at him. "To bad Eli and Katherine is here or you could just walk right up and play buddy buddy with them. They would never know because they don't know how you look like." I said.

Nik sped over to me and gave me a smirk. "Brilliant love." He said.

He was standing right there his lips almost to mine. I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Nik and I didn't do any romancing since my humanity was turned off. I just had this feeling. I don't know what it was my emotions were off and I was confused. I reached up closer to his lips and he pulled me into a kiss.

One thing led to another and in the morning I woke up next to him. I rolled out of his grip and got out if bed.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Getting dressed." I glared at him.

"You are a bitch with your humanity turned off."

"Good." I said.

"You need to do something for me." Nik said coming out if the bedroom.

I didn't say anything but just looked at him.

He growled and ripped the blood bag out of my hand.

"You need to go back to Mystic Falls and makes sure Elena goes no where and makes sure she doesn't know I'm here." Nik told me.

I rolled my eyes. "Fine get to babysit my dead ex's sister."

"Good now go." He said pointing to the door.

I walked to the door but turned around.

"What are you planning?" I asked him.

You smiled. "You gave me a wonderful ideas love, I'm going to get in her group by possessing a body of someone she trust. Like the history teacher...what is his name?" Nik asked.

"Alaric good chose nobody would expect it. Teacher by day vampire hunter by night." I said.

"Good see you around love." Nik said.

What should my lie be? I asked myself before hopping in my stolen Porsche.

I walked to the door and swung it open I couldn't get in. "What the hell." I said.

"Damon! Stefan! Get your asses down here and let me in! It's my god damn house and I can't even get in! What the hell!?" I yelled.

Damon, Stefan, and Elena were walking down the stairs. "What the hell?" I asked.

"We signed the house over to Elena for protection." Stefan said.

"Let me in Elena." I said glaring at her.

"Come in Lucy." Elena said.

I finally walked in my house and threw my purse on the couch.

"Nice to see you Stefan, Damon, and Elena it's been a year." I said.

"Where have you been?" Stefan said pulling me into a hug.

I pulled back and looked at them all before smiling at Damon.

"I have been in New York." I said leaving the part out with being with Nik.

"What happened that night at the concert?" Elena asked.

I knew this would come up she wanted answers about Jeremy's death. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"What happened to Jeremy?" She asked.

"Oh that...well..." I stuttered and looked at Damon. "We were getting in the car and...we were attacked by...another vampire. He killed Jeremy and took me to New York. After he let me go I turned off my humanity." I lied.

"Who was it?" Stefan asked.

"I don't know but he was old." I said.

"What did he want with you?" Elena asked.

"I don't know but he let me go." I said.

"Then why did he kill Jeremy?!" Elena cried.

"He was a human and they got hungry." I snapped at her.

Elena went over to Stefan and cried into his shoulder. "Lucy you have to turn on your humanity." Stefan whispered to me.

"No I'm so much better with out it." I said before walking to my room.

I looked out my window thinking about calling Nik before I hear Damon come into my room.

"You have to tell them." Damon said.

"I'm not stupid I will tell them when I'm about to leave." I told Damon.

"Lucy they know something is up that was the worst lie I ever heard." Damon said smirking.

"I tried my best." I said.

"We have spoken to one of the original vampire." Damon said as I spun around.

"What? Who?" I asked.

"His name is Elijah. He wants to kill his brother Niklaus." Damon said.

"What? How is that possible? Why would he want to kill his own brother?" I asked.

"He wants revenge for taking his other siblings away from him. Elijah also said that Klaus wants to break a curse that involves killing Elena so we are going to stop him." Damon said.

"Okay get out I need to do something. " I said pushing Damon out of my room. I listened until I heard him walk down the steps and pull out.

I pulled out my phone I had to call Nik.

"Hello?" I heard a voice that did bit belong to Nik but to Alaric.

"Nik?" I asked.

"Love how is it going?" he asked.

"Well so far your plan is going well but did you know, my brother and your brother are working together." I said.

"What?" he asked.

"They are planning to kill you and they know about the curse." I said.

Nik was quite for along time until I broke the silence. "Maybe that would be better. Maybe when they don't expect it you can stop them and continue with the curse." I said.

"Brilliant love, I will see you tomorrow Damon invited me over for some drinks." Nik said.

I lauded in my bed with my eyes closed when I heard Damon come up to my room. I looked up.

"Damon what the hell?" I asked.

"Sorry Luc this is for your own good." he said before snapping my neck.
