Elena's Birthday

Lucy POV

It was the day of Elena's birthday party. God I hated her not to mention it was here at my house. I walked down the steps to the living room to see Caroline and Elena. Caroline was obviously running the show of the party commanding Matt and Tyler in where to put the boxes of decorations at.

"Lucy good! You need to grab the ladder out of Matts truck and start hanging up decoration." She said.

I looked at her then to everyone else in the room. "What do I look like to you? I'm not your work monkey. And I'm most definitely helping to set up for Elena's birthday party." I said going to the fridge to get a blood bag.

"Then what will you do?" Caroline asked.

"I have to buy a new phone." I said holding up the shattered piece of metal in my hand.

"What happened?" Matt asked.

"Got into a little argument last night." I said winking at Matt.

I came home after being away all day to avoid orders from Caroline. I went shopping and bought a new phone. I pulled into the driveway to see the party all ready started. I rolled my eyes. I walk in to a full blown party. I see Elena and walk over to here.

"Well happy birthday doppelgänger." I said.

"Thank you Lucy I hope you have fun." She said.

I nod. "Have you seen Damon?" I asked.

"He's upstairs." She said.

"Thanks." I said before turning toward the steps.

"Damon!" I yelled knocking on his bedroom door.

He opened it and dragged me in. "Elena knows."He said.

"Know what?" I asked.

"She knows that we know where Stefan has been and we kept her in the dark." Damon said.

I shrugged. "She was going to find out sooner or later." I said.

Damon glared at me. "In going to see Andie." He said.

"Your girlfriend." I said nudging his shoulder.

He glared at me before we both walked out.

I went to the part and sat beside Matt on the couch. I took a sip of my beer.

"Yo, Matt what's up?" I asked him. He looked sad mostly pissed. I looked up and saw Tyler and Caroline kissing.

"Oh you still like Caroline." I said. I recalled when they dated.

"No that's not what it is." He said lying.

"Bull shit I can smell that lie." I said smiling. He began to smile.

"Look I didn't get to talk to you really but, I'm sorry about Jeremy. He cared for you and I knew you cared for him." he said.

I was taken back by his words. "Well thanks. Let's get another drink." I said pulling him toward the bar.

Matt was a cool person. He lost so much in his life and lived by himself. We ended up outside sitting on the bench on the front porch when Damon sped into the driveway slamming his door.

"What's wrong with him?" Matt asked.

"Being a drama queen again." I said laughing.

"I don't know how you can deal with all the supernatural." Matt said.

"You should be talking. You're human and dealing with it all." I said.

He looked at me his lips inches from mine. I thought about Nik. Screw Nik he left me...again. I reached him and we kissed.

"Matt?" I heard somebody asked. We pulled away and I looked up to see Elena.

"Elena I was just...we were just..." Matt tried to say.

Elena gave me a death glare before turning back to Matt. "It's fine in just leaving." She said.

Matt nodded, "Hey can you take me home Tyler left." Matt said.

"Yeah come on." Elena said waving Matt over.

Matt turned to me, "See you Lucy I'll see you around." He said waving by to me.

"Bye Matt, Elena." I said before going inside.

There weren't many people left but they still were having fun so I left them alone before going to Damon's room. I opened his door and her was laying in his bed drinking a bottle of whiskey.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"What's wrong with you? Did you're girlfriend break up with you?" I asked.

"No Stefan killed her." Damon said.

"Damon...I'm sorry." Then I realized what he just said. I hit him with a pillow. "Stefan was here and you didn't bring him back!" I yelled.

Damon sat up. "He killed Andie and he obviously doesn't want to be found." Damon said back.

"We just need to get him to turn it back on!" I yelled.

"Lucy he's not going to and your boyfriend made sure of that. It's not you or me we are talking about it' a Stefan. By this point it will take centuries for him to turn it back on!" Damon yelled.

I knew he was right. "I'm not giving up on him yet Damon." I said leaving his room.
