The interior was to be expected from what the exterior of the mansion has shown off.
It was as elegant and surprisingly less abandoned than its exterior appearance. Across the door stood a flat screen TV that took up almost one-fourth of the wall, across that was a maroon couch, huge enough to support at least, four people. On either side of the couch were singles(the couches that only supports a single person, that's what I call 'em).
To finish off the look, it also had a small coffee table over a white fluffy carpet on the floor.
The mansion looked ravishing, and it made me wonder why Ben and Jeff would even think of leaving such a place. But then again, I have a very wonderful place and two loving parents; and I still insisted on getting an apartment of my own.
Everybody's gotta have their reason, don't they? Mine is just out of the topic of independence.
Theirs.. I don't think I would want to know.
A muffled voice came from somewhere within the premises, and it was so soft I didn't get to make out any word they said. There was a tiny voice that followed after the first one, it sounded like the second voice was agreeing.
Afterwards, a head of a brunette popped out of the corner of a wall; a pair of green orbs glistened in delight as they chimed, "Ben?!" in such a delighted adorable tone.
"Hi, Sall—" the blonde wraith stumbled on his feet as a flash of brown and pink whipped through time and space; crashing onto Ben's embrace.
Upon giving better perspective of things, I realized that the flashes of color was actually a child. A little girl, to be exact. With curly brown hair sitting perfectly on her back and a pink flow-y dress. She wrapped her arms adoringly around the blonde wraith's waist, and Ben reluctantly returned it.
"I didn't expect you'd miss me that much." He muttered, stroking the little girl's hair. But despite the words that left his mouth, his sky blue eyes held relief in them.
"Of course I would. The lack of idiocy in this mansion unnerves me." The little girl beamed and it shocked me by how such big words would sound so childish and unprofessional to her.
I mean, dude. Those are big words I wouldn't even think of using when trying to hold a conversation!
Ben let out an epitome(see, I I know big words, too) of a chuckle and a groan, "See, that's the Sally I was expecting to see."
"Redundancy," the little girl pointed out, the smile still evident on her face, "but I'm really super glad you're here!" And that was the grammar I've been waiting from this little girl.
"I won't be long," Ben admitted, crushing the joy the child was radiating. Her gorgeous smile slowly frowned.
"You're not?"
