I'm awake. I have a feeling it's close to nighttime, but I can't really tell since everything is just white. Blue is hovering over me, checking if I'm okay. His brother is shuffling through a backpack and yelling at Blue to tell him where the medical supplies are.
I sit up.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. There's no need to worry." Blue looks slightly more relieved, but still worried.
"No. It's just when you fell this time, I didn't catch you. I'm so sorry, I wasn't ready for it. I didn't know what to do." Tears spill over his cheeks. I quickly pull him into a tight hug. I wipe the tears off his cheeks with the palm of my hand.
"None of this is your fault. Plus, I'm perfectly fine." This just makes Blue cry more.
"No you're not!" Blue yells at me. Papyrus is still digging around for medical supplies. I tilt my head slightly in confusion.
Papyrus finds what he was looking for and rushes over to me. He down behind me. "When you fell this time, you hit your head on the way down and cracked your skull. Not good, considering you just almost died and you lost all your memories."
He's quickly wrapping a bandage around my head. "I'm sorry," he apologized. "This is the only thing we have and I don't really know what we need to fix this."
"I'll have to call Alphys here immediately." He passes the bandages to Blue. "Finish this while I call Alphys." Blue is staring at me with a look of horror, before he begins continuing to wrap my head with bandages. I feel panic start to arise in my chest.
Papyrus went off to call Alphys, whoever that is. But Blue stays here with me and continues silently wrapping my head with bandages.
"Blue?" He hums to show he's listening, but doesn't stop his work on my head.
"What is it?" Blue asks without looking up.
"What if I lose my memories again?" It's now one of my greatest fears. If I lose my memories again, I might lose him again. My memories might never come back. I gulp.
"You won't." Blue replies confidently. He's trying to put on a brave face for me. I know he's just as scared as I am inside.
"How do you know?" Blue doesn't respond. He doesn't know. He can't fix this. He doesn't know this time.
I wonder how long they can keep reviving me until I really am dead. Until there is nothing left of me. I'm already a glitch. I'm already something that was never supposed to be here to begin with.
How long can they keep me alive?
