As I look around the restaurant something strikes me as familiar. I have a feeling I've been here before. Maybe on a date with Blue? No new memories come back though. I sigh as we both sit down at a table in the corner.
I don't want to spend the rest of my life like this. Not being able to remember a single thing of who I am, or what my past was like. I want my memories back so bad. It feels like I'm being left in the dark, and the only way to light is being hidden from me. I can't live like this, but Alphys seems to think that all my memories will come back eventually.
"Have I....been here before?" I ask Blue, tilting my head to the side slightly. I can't figure out whether or not I've seen this place before.
Blue nods, and smiles at the fact that I remember this place. "Yeah," he replies, getting a bit of a distant look in his eyes. "We used to come here on dates all the time."
I smile. "I don't remember the dates too well. All I remember is the scenery, mostly."
"I'm sure your memory will come around more eventually." He replies, pulling out his menu and examining it. "I mean, after a while I assume it will all come back on it's own."
He shrugged, neither of us were too sure how my memory worked. I pulled up my menu as well, looking at everything there was to eat. The other thing about losing nearly all of my memories was that I couldn't quite remember what foods I liked and what foods I didn't like.
"What should I get?" I asked Blue.
He looked briefly down at the menu, and shrugged. "How about the pasta? We can share a bowl if it's too much for you to eat all on your own."
I nodded. "How big are the bowls?" I ask.
He gestures with his hands, roughly the size of a Christmas wreath. I definitely won't be finishing all that on my own.
"Yeah." I laugh a bit, feeling kind of giggly today. "I definitely won't finish all that on my own."
"It's okay. We'll just split it, and if there's still some left over, we can ask for a box to take it home with us." He smiles fondly at me. I assume this is what we normally do on dates, but I can't quite place my finger on it.
The rest of the date goes excellently. In fact, I couldn't possibly ask for a more perfect moment than the one I'm sharing with Blue right now.
I want to treasure this in my memory forever, but I know that even that is temporary.
