I try to push us further and faster, while also not going too fast as to not to lose control.
"Woah." Blue says, as I realize that we're finally at the edge of the universe.
"Is this it?" I ask him, my head turned slightly to the side.
We're at the edge of a large cliff off the cliff is nothing more than emptiness, nothing more than emptiness. This must really be the end. I could think of nothing else to describe this place.
Blue nods. "Yes. It looked like this last time I was here. Quick," he says. "He must be in his studio right now." He gestures for me to follow him off to a small cabin just by the edge of the cliff.
I follow quickly behind him, the whole place giving me slightly eerie vibes.
Blue knocks on the door and we wait patiently for Ink to come out.
Ink grumbles as he swings the door open. "What the hell do you want?" He asks. "I'm busy." He taps his foot.
"Ink. It's me, remember?" Blue tells him quickly. "You healed Error for me?"
Ink takes a closer look at Blue's face. "Ah yes, I remember you now." He states. "You know it can be kind of hard to tell some of my creations apart. What do you two want?"
I try to sit up slightly taller, and seem more confident. "There's a crack in my skull, and I keep passing out every time I gain one of my old memories and-"
"-we want to make Error permanent." Blue interrupts me, obviously knowing more about this than I do. "If he's a permanent part of the game, then he could do whatever he wants to," Blue grabs my hand. "We could be together." Blue finishes.
Ink puts his hands on his hips. "Is that really all you want?" He asks. We nod, still gripping tightly onto each other's hands. This is what I've wanted all along. To be able to be with Blue for the rest of my life. For this body to last for the rest of my life, because at first we weren't even sure if it would and now it seems I'm getting hurt at least every other day.
And to make things worse the crack in my skull is only getting to be bigger and bigger. I know the real end will he coming soon.
Ink turns to me. "You sure about this kid? It will be hard." He warns me.
But I nod my head. "Whatever comes my way, I'm ready for it."
He looks between us one more time and then sighs. "Fine." Ink says. "Come in in then."
