Today, Blue says the he plans on showing me the world.
I'm not quite sure how long that will take, but he insists that we might as well at least try while we still can.
"The world?" I ask, wide eyed.
He shrugs. "The underground, at least, until we find another human soul. Then, we'll see the whole world."
"Seems reasonable." I say sarcastically.
He laughs. "Don't be such a buzzkill." He smiles at me. "Of course it's reasonable. Besides, you don't remember any of this place." Blue tried to reason.
He's right. I don't remember a single thing about my home. I hardly know where any of my memories are taking place, let alone how to get around this city.
I sigh. "Fine. Where are we going first?"
He takes my hand, and I know that we're off to distant lands.
It's amazing just being able to be with him. When I first arrived in that strange white space I thought I might never get out. That it was the only world I would ever really know. Now I look around me, and I see that there's a whole other world. Possibly may more different worlds other than this, and it amazes me to think of how infinite it must be, how big, and how beautiful, compared to the tiny white space that I previously lived in.
"Hey Blue?" I ask. We both lie down in the grass, among glowing blue flowers that repeat everything we say. I stare out at the water. This place is beautiful.
He turns to face me. "Yeah?" He replies.
"Do you think there are other worlds? Like apart from just here and in the white space?" I ask.
A look of curiosity spreads across his features, and he puts his
hand on his chin, deep in thought."Well," Blue replies. "Perhaps there are other worlds. Perhaps there are many world we just haven't discovered yet. There might even be too many to count."
The mere suggestion of it blows my mind.
The thought that there really are too many to count out there, and I have only yet explored one. I have another question to ask him.
"Do you think we could explore them all?" I ask him. "Like the way we explored this one?"
I lean back against his chest, and I hear him sigh.
"Maybe someday soon," he replies. "Maybe someday soon."
I didn't quite know what he meant.
