Didnt See That Coming? | Thinkfast Ninjago

3 fights, 2 wins, 1 loss . Chapter 3

Turner's POV :-

It was the second day of the tournament of elements. The first fight wasnt hard but.... I probably shouldnt jinx it. Me, Neuro, Shade, Ash and Pale were all getting breakfast. I gotta say, for  a master of speed, I wouldnt have thought I could get tired. We sat down at a table and talked. A while after, I overheard the ninja arguing about a girl or something. What?? The argument is about a girl? Why? The argument formed into a fight and uh.. DRAMA!

" Yo, Turner. You alright man?" Ash asked. I nodded and continued eavesdropping until Chen announced 6 elemental masters for the next tournament. It was me, Neuro, Ash, the red ninja, master of gravity and master of nature. I was fighting the gravity guy. Neuro had to fight the master of nature and Ash had to fight the ninja. I wonder... Smoke vs Fire.... Who would win? I hope Ash will. I dont want to lose a friend already. I wasnt really worried about myself. Just my friends. I shrug it off and act like Im... Not worried...

The tournament started. I had to fight first. The Jade Blade was up on the tree but they didnt really specifically say where so we had to go easter egg hunting. I ran up the tree as soon as Chen said go. I continue running up, scanning everywhere for the blade. Gravis, the master of gravity, was above me, also looking for the blade.

He soon found it but used his powers to retrieve it for him. I decided to take advantage of that and took it when it was near me. I held it up, victoriously and Chen pushed a button for a trapdoor. Unfortunately, Gravis was still floating. Chen pushed another button and sand bag fell on top of Gravis and pulled him down thr trap door.

"Geez, how many buttons does that man have!?" I started questioning myself.

Neuro was up next. For this fight, he and the master of nature fought outside instead of day, it was night. Their fight wasnt long and was pretty boring but I did get worried at some point. Like the time master of nature held him down with his powers and vines and almost took The Jade Blade. And that happened twice!

Instead of that, he thankfully won by giving the guy a headache (I think) and got out of his hold. He then took advantage of the master of natures powers by climbing the vine up to the Jade Blade and retrieved it with ease. Like everyone else, the master of nature fell through a trap door which still makes me feel uncomfortable.

The last round was Ash and the red ninja, Kai. We were sitting.... Somewhere and let me tell you, it was HOT where we sat. It felt like we were up on a volcano.

I had to run every minute just to get some cool air. Anyways, about the tournament, it started out good for Ash. He dodged every move Kai pulled and hit him more than 3 times. I was smiling now. I had high hopes Ash would win.

Not long after, the bridge was completely turned into nothing but dust since Kai burned it down. They were between the Jade Blade and they fought again.

Sooner or later, they both charged at eachother and the fight was getting intense now. My heart started beating fast. Kai threw his fireballs at Ash and he turned to smoke which led Kai to an opportunity to take the Jade Blade while he was still smoke. He got it and landed safely on one of the rocks. This, I was shocked. Ash... He lost.

Chen pushed a button and in the blink of an eye, he was gone. Just like that... I just sat there, clapping my hands but... Not cheering for him. Just for Ash and him at least trying.

It was night and we ate our last meals. Neuro, Shade, Pale and I sat and talked about how Ash lost the battle and how he could have won. Its true he could.

Neuro reached over the tabla and put his hand on my shoulder and said,

"Its okay, Turner. Dont be worried. Im sure Ash is just back at Ninjago or something and maybe the trapdoor leads to nowhere! Maybe it leads to a boat that sends us back to Ninjago" and he smiled. I asked, "Were you reading my mind?"

Neuro pulled back his hand and looked away for a while. "maaaayyybeeee" as his smile turned into a sly smirk.

Shoot. Why does he look so cute like this?

He then had a shocked expression and his face was turning red by the second. He said, "uhm... Eheh... Im gonna go out and meditate. Ill see you guys tomorrow, alright?"

"Bye, Neuro!"

"Cya tomorrow, buddy"

But I just sat there, silent but waving and smiling. Have I.... Developed feelings for him? PFFFT-- NO. HES MY FRIEND AND FRIEND ONLY....... Though... We could be more---- aaAHAAHHAHAHAHA NOPE OKAY IM GONNA STOP.

I feel my face heat up and I sweat a bit. Shade looks at me weirdly and ask, "You okay? You dont look so good. Are you sick?" but I shook my head. I wasnt lying but I wasnt telling the truth either.

I dont WANT to tell the truth. What if they hate me for it? For probably being gay? What would they do? Call me out? Hate me? Go against me? Hunt me down? Whatever it is, I dont wanna know. I dont wanna think or even talk about it either. Neuro didnt seem to actually look mad at all. Is he fine with it? He didnt look offended either. Do I have a chance on him? Argh! What am I thinking?? What chnace do I have with a obviously calm, smart, cute guy like him? He would deserve better than to be with a guy like me. Besides, he probably doesnt like guys...

My face cools down and I frown a bit.... Really, having feelings for my own friend is... Weird. Is this okay? Is it okay for me to have feelings like this towards my friend? Has anyone else felt the same about anyone like this? And heck, its their friend? Can I... Even love him in a way that friends dont do but.... Lovers? UGH WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT THIS?--

"Turner!" I snap, hearing my name being called by Pale. I couldnt breath properly. Not at that moment at least. I got dizzy and felt like dying. Black spots cover my sight and I passed out.

Ookaay. A new chapter done. Im so tired I dont wanna go to school qwq also theres a test today and I hate it cuz my least favourite subject is first. UGH
