Chapter seven

She dressed herself in a red ball gown,she didn't want to disgrace her husband so she applied more make up,although she hated balls and gala's she didn't have a choice.

After her now personal maids Clara and Maria helped her get ready,she sat on the vanity chair and waited for her husband.

Waited for minutes until they turned into hours and she felt he might have forgotten her,since this wasn't the first time she had been ditched before.
But after much pondering,her husband walked in with a black suit and a red tie matching the colour of her gown,she wanted nothing to do with her husband but now the silly red tie had bounded them together.

"Let's go". He said as he hooked his arms around hers and led her outside and into their car.

As usual two cars filled with bodyguards followed behind them as they sped off,she unhooked her arm around his as she glanced at the house that was now looking very far and distant,she used to think it was the house that suffocated her,but being in the car with her husband was even more suffocating,she couldn't do anything but close her eyes and imagine a world were she was the man in this marriage,then she would definitely had used a belt on him so he would understand her pain,but wouldn't that make her a monster too,would that change anything.

"When we get there don't say a word until you are asked to,or you'll regret it". Aaron spoke with venom in every word,and the worst part was,he meant it.

The big hall soon came into view, but her eyes were still closed,until the car stopped and Aaron touched her did she open her eyes and look at him.

"Get out of the car". Aaron ordered her as she walked out,she kept her head down at all times not wanting to upset her husband, she hardly spoke a word,the guests were chatty,and the women looked beautiful,she looked at her dress and felt a twig of disgust at her jewelry,she hated jewelry but she wasn't going to say that out loud.

"Its so good to see you Aaron Walter,we are certainly pleased you came". The host and his wife said as they waved some guests that walked by.

"This must be your beautiful wife Cleopatra". The host wife Amelia said in a sweet chirpy voice,something about her didn't sit well with Cleopatra.

"Yes let me introduce you,Cleopatra,this is Amelia and her husband Nathan,they are the hosts of this party". Aaron said as she nodded.

"My I say you are awfully quiet Cleopatra,is anything the matter". Amelia asked as she looked at Cleopatra from head to toe and snorted.
If there was one thing Amelia liked it was to berate naive wives,and Cleopatra just looked the part.

"Please carry on and enjoy the party". Nathan chirped as Aaron pat his shoulders and walked in with Cleopatra, Cleopatra kept her down at all times even when woman looked at her in disdain she didn't utter a word,this made some people think she was snobbish and to others she was illiterate,which made them laugh at her even more.

They sat in the midst of Aaron friends,his circled was respected and feared and powerful and was second to the most richest.
Aaron and his friends paraded them self as the Kings whist the richest group paraded themselves as the king makers, those group were more pleasant and civil but more snobbish.

Cleopatra looked around her but couldn't find anything that triggered her fancy,she was bored but she dared not say anything,instead she would stay silent and enjoy the next few hours in boredom.

It wasn't until she felt someone behind her did she turn around,and there behind her was Mrs Evelyn in a gold gown.

"My dear you're here". And Cleopatra found it hard to breath,she didn't think Mrs Evelyn would recognise her but she was doomed,she was even more scared of the fact that Mrs Evelyn might recall that day in front of her,or worse,in front of Aaron.

Poor poor Cleopatra,Aaron wouldn't Like this but anyway that's what we want right,enough drama to make us squeal with joy.
