FLOWER

Chapter four

Today was different not because she was pregnant again but because Aaron had informed her that he was going on a trip,he didn't inform her per say,she just eavesdropped and finally she could be free for a while,she didn't want to say it but she felt slightly happy that she wasn't going to be suffocated in his presence for too long.
So there she was feeling restless and folding clothes unnecessarily just to free herself from some energy.

"You look restless". Aaron asked slightly irritated as he fixed his tie whilst looking at the mirror.

"Is anything special happening today". He asked as he looked at her through the mirror.

"No". She answered absent mindedly as her imagination took her places she really wanted to go,she didn't know Aaron was calling her until he touched her skin and she jolted up in fear.

"Get my suitcase". He ordered angrily after being ignored as she nodded and gave him his suitcase.

After she saw him drive off,she raced down and drank her bitter coffee,the maids were happy to see her jumpy,but she wasn't jumpy because she was happy, she was jumpy because she wouldn't see her malicious husband for a while,but that didn't mean he wouldn't come back.

She saw some maids going to buy groceries and she beckoned on them to take her with.

"Am sorry Madam we can't,boss's orders". The maids declined and left her standing disappointed.

She saw others going to the garden and she beckoned on them too.
"Sorry Madam but we can't,boss's orders".they all said the same thing until she couldn't take the pain anymore and she retreated to her room,suddenly she felt a pat on the back.

"Do you still want to go out Madam".she turned around and saw Maria grinning like a Cheshire cat .

"You would do that for me Maria". Cleopatra asked uncertainly.

"Of course but you'd have to follow my plan".Maria said quietly.

After sometime,Cleopatra came out of Maria's room dressed in common clothes like a maid,her hair was tied up and her face was without makeup,she felt like a maid.

"You think this would work". She asked unsure.

"Certainly Madam,only if you follow my lead".And with that Cleopatra and Maria stormed out of the gates and into the city,Maria kept talking and bickering about the groceries they were going to buy,but Cleopatra wasn't even listening, she felt free at last and she felt a sense of peace but it didn't stop her heart from beating fast over the consequences of what she was doing,but she couldn't think,she just wanted to fly.

"We're here Madam". Maria chirped and helped Cleopatra down from the taxi,even in rags Cleopatra still looked like a queen.

"What is this place". Cleopatra asked frazzled.

"A shop".Maria stated obviously.

She led Cleopatra into the big shop full of all kind of groceries and shop items,she felt confused,she hadn't seen a shop in over five years it all looked new to her,she found herself being curious about how people spoke and how people walked like she was a child new to the world.

She bumped into a lot of people and apologised to some,she felt different, but then she felt anxious, she hadn't seen Maria ever since she entered the bakery aisle,she looked around and found nothing,she went over to the veggies aisles but all she saw was a swarm of people,she was getting dizzy and she needed to find Maria fast.
Her anxiety issues were picking up and she felt suffocated until she decided to run out of the shop.

Outside was the road,motorists and passengers,on the walkway was the crowd of people and she wondered were all of them came from, they were a lot,she hoped Maria hadn't gotten kidnapped or lost,but who was she kidding,if anyone had the tendency to get lost,it would be her.
