Emerys woke up around eleven the next morning to the sunlight seeping through her curtains.
She stretched out her limbs and looked at her phone, seeing she had a text.
'I'll see you soon. K x' The message read.
Emerys smiled to herself before getting up and going downstairs.
"Good morning, sweetie." Her mother; Jocelyn beamed as she poured her daughter some coffee. "Did you sleep okay?"
"Surprisingly, yes." Emerys shrugged, sitting down at the breakfast bar as her cup was passed to her.
"Well that's good. What are your plans today? More exploring?" Jocelyn asked.
"I met someone yesterday. I'm going round to their house today to hang out." Emerys said as she took a gulp of her coffee.
Jocelyn frowned. "Is it wise to be going round to a stranger's house?"
"Mom... He's really sweet. Plus, this town has like, no crime rate. If you're that worried, I'll borrow your gun." Emerys rolled her eyes.
"Not on your life. But I see your point. Just keep your phone charged and on you at all times. What time are you meeting him?"
"He's picking me up at one." Emerys moved over to the toaster, popping some bread in.
"You're giving strangers our home address now?" Her mother frowned.
"Not exactly. He walked me home last night." Emerys replied.
Jocelyn seemed quite surprised by this, but then, living in New Orleans, there weren't too many people willing to be so chivalrous.
"How nice of him. Well, I hope you have fun, sweetie. I gotta go to work." She smiled, walking over to place a kiss on her daughter's forehead.
"Love you, mom." Emerys said.
"Love you too, sweetie."

By the time one o'clock came around, Emerys had gotten herself showered and dressed into a pair of black skinny jeans, her favourite t-shirt, displaying a picture of Jim Morrison, a black leather jacket, beanie and classic black and white Converse.
'I'm outside x' the text from Killian read.
She jogged down the stairs, calling out a quick 'bye dad, I love you' and made her way out of the door.
Killian sat there in his silver and black 1969 Chevelle, giving her a flirty side smirk as she opened the passenger door.
"Good afternoon, love." He said.
"Good afternoon." She sang her reply.
"Are you still feeling okay to come to mine?" He asked, just to make sure.
"Yeah. I think I can trust you." Emerys chuckled.

Killian parked up in his driveway and led the girl to his front door, opening it before standing aside to let her in first.
"You have a beautiful home." She told him.
"Thank you very much. I've put a lot of work in to make it like this. It was a wreck when I first bought it." He shook his head at the memory of its previous state.

In the kitchen, Emerys sat down at Killian's small, round table, watching as he made coffee.
He smiled as he walked over with the two cups and placed one down in front of her.
"Thank you." She said, blowing on the hot liquid before taking a sip.
"So, I'm going to frank with you." Killian started.
"I'd rather you be Killian." Emerys shrugged, a cheeky smirk playing on her lips.
"You're impossible and that was terrible." Killian laughed, sipping his coffee. "I just wanted to say – and feel free to get up and run out the door – I like you, Emerys. I can't remember the last time I connected with someone so well."
"I feel the same way." Emerys nodded. "Though I think the whiskey helped."
Killian chuckled. "Aye, possibly. Thank you for sharing that, by the way."
"You're most welcome." Emerys smiled, proudly.
The pair fell into a comfortable silence as they sipped at their drinks, taking each other in.
Emerys realised how attached she had become to Killian, despite having known him for such a short time. The weirdest bit was, Killian thought the exact same thing about her.
"So what would you like to do?" He asked.
"Do I remember you saying yesterday that you had a piano?" Emerys raised her eyebrow.
Killian chuckled. "Aye, you remember correctly." He stood up and held out his hand. "Come on."
Emerys smiled and took his hand, allowing him to lead her out of the kitchen and down the hall, where she found herself in a sort of music room and study.
"Wow. I think I've found my favourite room." She giggled. "Music and writing. My two favourite things."
"Then feel free to take a look around." Killian told her as he sat down on the piano stool, raising the lid.
He put his fingers to the keys as Emerys looked around at the many books he had on a huge bookshelf, which spanned the entire width and height of the left hand wall.
"Three of my favourite things." She corrected herself.
"What's the third?" Killian asked as he began to play.
"Shakespeare." She replied, moving over to sit next to him on the stool.
He smiled as she did so, but didn't stop playing.
In that moment, Emerys decided on a bold move. She gently rested her head on Killian's shoulder, but mentally slapped herself when he stopped playing.
"I'm sorry..." She mumbled, turning to get up, but Killian grabbed her hand.
"Don't be." He told her, softly. He pulled her in, their faces just inches apart. She felt his breath against her neck, just as he did hers. "Now what?"
Emerys ignored the voice of her social anxiety screaming at her to run and never look back. Instead, she moved in and gently placed her lips to his.
'If I've read all these signs wrong, this is going to be stupidly embarrassing...' She instantly thought.
But instead of him freaking out, as she thought he was going to do, she felt his hand snake through her curls, cupping her head softly, deepening the kiss.
After a few moments, they parted for air.
"Well..." He mumbled. "That, I wasn't expecting."
Emerys breathed a chuckle, bringing him in for another as she ran her fingers along his pronounced jawline. But she needed more. She raised herself slightly and shuffled, moving onto Killian's lap without breaking their kiss.
His other hand quickly found her hip, pulling her into him more; their bodies moulding into one another like clay.
"Is this alright, love?" He breathed heavily against her lips.
All Emerys could muster was a nod as she felt a needy heat between her legs.
Killian's hands snaked slowly up and down her body as she cupped his face, the tips of her fingers gently brushing against the locks of hair behind his ears.
With that, he picked her up by her ass without breaking the kiss, heading towards the stairs.
Emerys lowered her legs, silently gesturing for Killian to put her down, which he did.
As soon as her feet were planted safely on the floor, she gave him a flirtatious smirk, grabbed his hand and turned around, heading up the stairs.
They barely made it to the top before Killian pinned her against the wall opposite the stairway, bringing their lips together once more.
Emerys pulled at his shirt, lifting it up, causing him to chuckle against her mouth before separating so that the item of clothing could be removed.
Killian then did the same for Emerys' shirt, quickly moving to also remove her jeans, throwing them into the pile that had accumulated at the top of the stairs.
"Come with me." He practically growled, taking her hand and leading her to his bedroom, his other hand already working on his jeans.

Emerys looked to the man before her with nothing but lust in her eyes. Usually a greeny-hazel, they had become dark, almost black. Killian's on the other hand, were typically an icy blue, but were practically royal blue instead.
As their mouths connected again, Killian guided Emerys to his bed.
She felt the backs of her legs hit the mattress and allowed herself to fall back, spreading her legs to make room for him.
"Are you sure?" He whispered against her skin as his mouth moved to trail kisses and nips along her neck and collar bone.
"Abso-fucking-lutely." She breathed, weaving her fingers in his hair, taking in every spot he touched.
Killian let out a soft chuckle, tickling her skin pleasantly.
Removing her bra rather effortlessly, Killian soon went on to slip her underwear down, throwing it across the room before removing his own.
Emerys looked down at him, taking all of him in.
"My God..." She breathed, beckoning him towards her mouth by resting her index finger under his chin. "You're incredible..."
Killian gave her a genuine smile. "I haven't even done anything yet, love." He mumbled, placing a kiss on her soft, pink lips.
"Better hurry. I'm not the most patient of people. Especially when I know what I want." She giggled, gazing up into his eyes.
"And what would that be?" He raised an eyebrow.
"You." Her fingertips trailed along Killian's back, leaving goosebumps in her wake.
They were about to take the next step when they heard a loud knock on the door.
Emerys gave a frustrated sigh.
"Ignore it, love." He whispered against her chest, peppering kisses along the top of her breasts.
"Killian!" A male voice could be heard faintly.
"Bloody hell..." Killian groaned, scrunching his eyes closed.
"Who is it?" Emerys asked.
"My brother..." He sighed, getting off her.
Emerys watched as he quickly threw some boxers and jeans on, then made his way out of the bedroom.
