Keller and I stare each other down.  Somehow, his men have captured everyone and they have those electronic handcuffs on.  The Chosen Ones got out of them before, so I'm going to try and distract him and hope they can do it again.

"You do realize we're not your bigest problem."

"Oh, you mean Caitlin.  Yes she's a major concern, but the opportunity to take all of you down is too good to pass up."

"I don't think you understand what's happened in this house.  The girl lying on the floor behind me is Laura Blackwell.  She's from the evil side of the Blackwell family and was actually a witch.  She conjured up evil spirits to possess Caitlin, and now she's more powerful, and not even in control."

"Spirits... witches...  What kind of fool do you think I am?" As I glance at Max, he nods, and Megan closes her eyes to summon a spirit. After a moment she looks at Max with fear in her eyes. Max tries to use his abilities to break their restraints and nothing happens.

Keller's smile grows. "As you can see, we've improved on our handcuffs since your escape. If your plan was to give up and catch us by surprise, it's not going to work."

By the expressions on their faces I can tell that was exactly what Max had in mind. Now... It's up to Kelsey and I, and I have no idea what to do.

"I'll give you one last chance to give up peacefully. After that my men will shoot one of your friends on my command, until you give up." He motions at one of his men and he brings Sarah forward still holding the gun to her head. "Starting with the one you love most."

"Kyle don't.  Caitlin has to be stopped, and you know they can't do it, especially now," Sarah says through her tears.  "You know what you have to do.  It's okay."

Her last two words take me back to the nightmare I had of losing her.  Anger flows through me as I clench my fists, and as my eyes turn black the crystal underneath my shirt begins to glow.

Kelsey backs up a little feeling the energy that surrounds me, and Keller does too.

"Fire! Fire!" He shouts and his men do as their told.

Keller stares at me as he listens to the weapon's fire.  "It's your fault they're dead," he says and notices Sarah's still standing.  "Why didn't you fire?" He asks his agent.

"Sir... I did.  Everyone did." Keller turns to see that all my friends are still standing.  Using my thoughts, and the added power of the crystal, I release the cuffs from my friends and throw the agents through the walls.

Everyone walks up and surrounds Keller.  Now it's just us, and him.

Raising my hand I lift him into the air. He draws his handgun and Hailey flings it from his hand.

"Dr. Keller. Are you alright? We heard shouting," an agent shouts as he cautiously eases inside. Max walks to the hallway door and looks toward the agent.  He raises his weapon as Max throws him outside, and slams the door shut.

He turns back to us.  "That's taken care of, at least for now."

"Now, where were we?" I ask.

"You can't win Kyle.  Even if you kill me here and now my men will still level this house and take all of you down with it.  Surrender, and I promise to spare your lives."

"I don't think any of us wants to spend the rest of our lives in a cage," the others agree with me. "So, I guess we have a stand off." I drop Keller and hold out my hand as one of his special cuffs flies into it.  I toss them to Sarah and she puts them on him.
