A Little History

I suppose I should start at the beginning. My name is Lyrica Torres. Im 18 years young and currently reside in Carmel, Indiana. I've got a best friend who goes by the name, Brady Szuhaj. You probably know him from his oh so wonderful band Late Nite Reading. He plays bass. But that is right now besides the point.

Brady and I have been friends since practically birth. Our mothers were best friends in high school and just happened to have their first born children within a few months of each other. (Go figure, ha). Well, its was Jennifer's first born. Im an only child, but after Ethan and then Lily Szuhaj were born, I never felt like it.

Like I said, Brady and I were best friends. We always have been. We told each other everything and were closer than anything. We'd been through basically everything together. Growing up, most of the time it was just us two. Neither of us were very 'popular' but at the end of the day that didnt matter as long as we had each other.

When 8th grade came about, someone entered our lives and would continue to change it from there on out. His name was Dalton Wixom. Brady and Dalton became fast friends. At first, I despised Dalton because I felt he was taking away my best friend. (Yeah I have territory issues.) I had fully intended to hate him forever but the universe had other plans.

I had been at the park with my boyfriend at the time. Things were going great until he told me he wanted to break up. I didnt even see it coming. And at the time (being 13) this was devastating. I started crying and and he just left. Now, normally in a situation like this, I'd just call Brady and he'd make me feel better. But his family was on vacation in Europe for the week and I knew with the time difference he'd be sleeping. So, there I was sobbing on the tire swing when none other than Mr. Dalton Wixom comes up to me. He sat down next to me, pulled me into a hug and said that everything would be okay. In that moment, I knew he wasn't a bad person and we've been friends ever since.

Not long after all of this, the boys decided to start a band. The rest is kinda history, I guess. Here we are almost 5 years later, not much has changed. Minus the 50,000 'Likes' on Facebook, countless performances on stage and private shows, two EPs, and touring half the country. Well, now that you are all caught up we can get to the present!
