Clementine

It had been a few days now, since Louis's new found voice.
He refused to speak since, instead only resorting to sign like usual. But, that didn't stop Clementine from the persistent begging every now and then.

A dim sunny day on the weekend, Louis and Marlon made the last minute choice to hang out together. It was just at the local park, and Rosie joined in too.

The chunky bulldog enjoyed playing with other dogs, and attempting to chase after bird until they flew away. It was a shame for the dog, but not so much for the flying creatures.

With the lead in his hand, Marlon was wrapping and unwrapping it around his hand due to boredom.

"So, anything major happen recently?" He asked, looking at his dark friend.

Shaking his head, Louis said 'No.' With his hands to match it. Just to reiterate the point.

Rolling his head to look his way, Marlon narrowed his piercing eyes at his friend. "You sure about that?" As if he knew something.

'What's Clem told you?' Louis interjected, cutting to the chase.

"Nothing. She just mentioned that you two are always together. Especially recently." Marlon huffed, visibly conflicted.

'I mean, yeah? But you already knew that so I don't understand why it's being brought up?' Louis signed defensively, adjusting his posture to it too.

"Fair enough." The blonde boy sighed, dropping it.
"Erin text me yesterday." He added randomly calm.

That grabbed his full attention now. 'Erin? What did she say?' The dread head questioned, being aware of her bad intentions. He was now wary of the other boys next words.

Pulling his phone out, Marlon just passed it over so the boy could read it for himself.

Erin: hey, just texting you to say that I'm not staying in town much longer. I'll be gone by Sunday.

Marlon: I don't really care. Delete my number.

Erin: fair enough. I'm just letting you know so you can pass it on to Louis. Since I don't have his number.

Marlon: Louis gives his number to no one, and you know that. That means you too. Especially since you made him look a fool in front of everyone all those years ago.

Erin: can't believe you're still bitter over that. Grow up Marlon.

Marlon: ya know what, you aren't worth shit Erin. I hope you have a miserable life. Just know, karma will come for you.

And that was the last message, which was left on read.

"Dude, she won't ever be coming back here." Marlon interrupted his thoughts.

'You butchered her so bad that she didn't even reply.' Louis sniggered. He found the burn oddly satisfying.

Marlon joined in on the joke. "It'll make her think twice before dropping on your doorstep randomly again." He retorted.
