Chapter Nineteen

At dawn, I finally catch up with Parker.

He'd gone all the way down Route Twenty Nine, towards Cherrygrove City. At least he hadn't taken a forest route, which was the first direction I'd gone.

I thought he would've been roughing it again, I wonder why he didn't.

"Parker!" I scream out, running madly after his shadow.

"Hey, wait. Lilac?! You were supposed to stay and I don't think your mother would change her mind. Why do you have a bag with you?" Is his shocked reply, I can just make out his widened eyes in the dim light of the early sunrise.

I carry on panting, "Well, I'm not gonna let you leave without me. I just waited until everyone had went to sleep before I went after you.".

"Wow." Parker breaths, I've always hated the awkward silence that follows that word. After a few minutes, I can't take it anymore.

"Let's just go, I did promise my family that I'd send them daily letters. Weekly ones in fact. I can just tell them why I ran away in my first letter." I say.

Parker just smiles, "Okay.".

The End, for now anyway.
