Chapter 3-Shocking! I'm not normal!

It, or she was like a living mummy. Through my hazy gaze, I saw that she was covered in blue-ish purple light, to a point where she looked like she was emitting it. Yawning, I looked at Ast and Nina. They were acting normal, but their troubled eyes gave me the confirmation I needed. Then I left my body.

Literally. I floated above my body, and saw 'me' slacken. (to be exact, my body without my soul)

Ast smoothly caught 'me', as if I just tripped and continued walking. I summoned a ball of transparent string and a pair of golden scissors (sounds very impressive, doesn't it?) that were half the size of my body.

Cutting the string into long pieces, I then left it to flow down and let it connect to my body. 'Me' stood upright and started walking, guided by my hand. Ast sighed in relief and looked up somewhere. And did an okay sign in a random direction. Nina shot him a look which made him keep his pace up with her and 'me'.

Surprisingly, I'm not a normal human. Neither are Nina and Ast (let's talk about them later, and focus on me, Evan Roadage first, shall we?) I am a puppeteer. (don't imagine an old man playing with a wooden puppet) I can see people's relationships, influence them, control string (normal string included) and control my body with my soul as a bonus. Wow I LOVE your ability Evan!-said no one ever, and even Nina and Ast crept away from me when we first met.

Anyway. Back to the current situation. With one hand (or soul hand?) occupied in making 'me' walk, I observed the situation in hand. In this 'mode', all my abilities were heightened. The purple light now appeared as thick purple strings that were choking and strangling the girl. I moved closer.

Using the giant scissors, I tried to saw through the strings. It turned out to be a waste of effort as they wouldn't budge. (Uh oh. Bad news. The relationships were too deep to be cut) Slightly panicking, I chose to use a different method. I discarded the Scissors which disappeared, and made some green string appear on my now-free hand. (green for neutral) It slithered and wove itself into the overwhelmingly thick purple material. It loosened the choking material, but just barely. Nina looked up (actually, she wildly looked around as she couldn't see me) and glared in all directions. I got the message and started to hurry up. I found out the girl's skirt pocket was half-opened with a phone angled dangerously down. I extended and wove some string on the phone and pulled.

And came back.

Blinked.

While I tried to shake off my headache and the strange feeling as gravity was applied again, Ast shook me and gave me a smirk while pointing. In the direction he was pointing,  Nina was chatting to a girl who was cradling her phone like a baby. (Something about a Kpop group? I don't know. I don't have ultra-sensitive hearing) She gave the girl a light tap on the shoulders, waved and then finally came to us. "How did it go?" Ast immediately asked. "I'm a pro" Nina exclaimed with a broad smile that we don't see often. We resumed walking (them striding as if they own the place, and me zombie-walking behind the two) to our 'place' while Ast and I restrained ourselves like puppies waiting for a snack (minus the cute part).
