"I'm so sorry for you" "Your father was a good man" "Hope you feel well soon"
Lies. Lies. Lies.
The false sympathies and worries dripping like black blood on their faces.
"Ast, avoid those with dark colours. Go and find those with auras that brighten with your presence."
But dad, everyone here is so dark.
I don't know if it's their bad mood, or if they dislike you.
Hey dad, I can't read their thoughts.
I can't tell if they're lying as well as you.
Wailing. I don't know if it was my mum, or Pinto, who's only three years old.
All I knew was that my black clothes were getting wet. Seems like my clothes were weeping instead of me. Fine, let it be.
Like magic, the rain stopped.
Looking above, the blue sky greeted me.
No wait....A sky-patterned umbrella?
"You must be Ast," a pretty Asian lady was smiling rather sadly down towards me.
"Shut up! You... You suckers!" a girl, around my age, starting yelling at people who had the darkest auras. They all looked startled, which was reasonable, as they didn't even speak.
"Ni... Nina, you're the one who should shut up..." A timid looking boy pulled on the girl's purple shirt. "Evie! This is when you must be on my side!"
Evie? What a strange name. The girl named had shoulder-length hair, brushed all neatly. Her purple shirt and black shirt conveyed a very strong personality, as well as her strong aura. It was bright orange and yellow it made my eye hurt.
The boy had sky-blue eyes, with untamed short brown hair. He looked like he was going to cry. Even his aura was blue. When I looked up, there was a man with the same blue eyes as the boy.
"Hello," He said, carefully, as if talking to a wild animal, "We were your dad's.....Friend." He added hesitantly.
"My dad never talked about you. I don't know you." That was a lie. My dad once told me he had a friend with nice blue eyes like the sky, and another friend with brown eyes and hair like dark chocolate. "Don't lie" The girl added, her brown eyes shining with intelligence.
"Ast!" There was my mother, running towards me. She stopped, stared at the man and woman, started shivering, and covered my baby brother with her brown arms.
"Mum?" She flinched. "Don't! Don't show me those eyes!"
Pinto, as if sensing the heavy atmosphere, started crying.
The people around me seemed to disappear. These eyes. It's always these eyes that are the problem. When the colour started shifting within my irises, my mother always flinched, my father tried to explain, then gave up. Now no one even tried.
"Evan" The tall man gentle started, "Show Ast your eye." The timid boy had his face half-covered behind Nina, I didn't even notice he had his left eye covered with a eye-patch. He looked like a pirate. With some moments to muster his courage it seemed, the box of pandora opened. And...
"The colour...changed? Like me?"
"Yes Ast, this is one of the traits coming from your abilities. We can explain it all to you."
The woman-later known as Joy, smiled so brightly I forgot all concerns. (I tried to ignore the darkness hinted in her aura) "Will you come with us?"
"I....."
The rain beneath the umbrella started again, this time much louder.
And that was the first meeting of Evan, Nina and Ast, which they never talk about

Rip this is so crap
Sorry for updating so late everyone!!!!
I had...a slump, and this story is running far out of my control.
It is my one wish to finish this novel (and hopefully write with a plan next time!)
so I'll try my best to finish it! Btw, don't be surprised if the story has a sudden turn, as I don't know what my previous self was thinking when I wrote this....
The plot itself will steadily come to an end, but the middle may muddle up a bit!
(Also nooooo emo Ast! I contemplated whether or not to post this, but consider this as a break)
Please vote and comment! (I need all the support for continuing writing!)
