"..Evan?"
"Haha! Evan my bud! You should always wear your eyepatch at school! Naughty, naughty!"
Ast quickly moved into his façade, pretending to be some sort of parent scolding an annoying toddler, with his fingers jiggling at my face, simultaneously covering Violet's line of view.
"What the hell, dude." scowling, I went along to this play. Maybe I did have a talent in acting, seeing that Ast did not burst out laughing on spot.
"You guys..." Violet's eye narrowed to the point it almost resembled a straight line.
Or not. Yep, becoming an actor should be the last option of my careers.
"You're hiding something, right?" Like an interrogation, Violet's tone hardened, as she stepped further into the room. As Violet's legs moved forward, Ast's foot moved backwards, completely covering me.
"What do you mean, Violet?" Smiling like an innocent child, Ast twirled around towards Violet. Unfortunately, Violet did not look very convinced.
"You know..People's eyes do not just switch colour like this." Snap! Violet clicked her fingers to emphasize her point.
"What are you talking about? Did Evan's eye colour change?" Ast's gaze bore into my right eye, once again covered with the eyepatch.
"My, my, it must have been the light!" There was no light from the windows, as it was blinded. The only source of light was from the bulb in the ceiling, which was shining glorious white that it could not have deceived Violet's eyes.
Exasperated, Violet moved her hands in front of herself, like a soldier surrendering.
"Fine, fine. If you don't want to tell, you don't have to."
"Even you guys don't want to tell me anything.."
Casually smiling, Violet started to leave the room, but both Ast and I heard the last sentence murmured.
"Wait!" For the first time since Violet came into the room, my voice came out loud and clear.
"I'll tell you." Ast shot me a look that said 'WHAT THE HELL MAN' which I decided to ignore, and my legs directed me towards Violet in 5 steps.

"Stay. I'll explain everything." There were no signs of moisture on Violet's face, yet I thought that Violet was crying.
"Ha...where should I start..." "How about not starting?" Injected Ast, which earned him a glare from both Violet and I. He lifted his hand up in surrender, and started pacing around the corner.
'The council is going to be so mad at us....Oh no Nina is too...Nina....Council....Nina...'
"Ast, shut up." All I got was the finger, but to be fair, I think I deserved it at this point.
Violet worriedly looked at everything, the stacked tables, the beanbags, the clock on the wall signifying only 17 minutes left till break...
"Okay, let's start here."
Cold air brushed against my right eye as I carefully removed the fabric away from it.
Blinking against the spots that appeared in my vision, I slowly started the tale.
"In this world, there are people with special abilities. They are called the Aura, Puppeteer and the Analyzer..."
Giving up his pacing, Ast dragged a green beanbag and sat next to Violet, who was captivated by the tale. He crossed his arms, with a look of obvious disbelief, but he started to fill in the gaps of my knowledge.
"..And that's why my eye is like this."
Beep!
Right on time, the bell started to ring, yet Violet didn't move an inch from her spot.
"Oi, aren't you going to class?" lightly tapping Violet on her shoulder, Ast stood up, stretched his arms and picked up his bag.
"Evan, what do you have next?"
"I have.."
Oh. Gosh dammit
"..Drama.." The answer came from Violet's mouth. We just stared at each other for a second.
Dammit. This was going to be an awkward class, won't it?
As he was leaving the room, Ast whispered into my ear
"You gotta tell Nina about this yourself. Okay?" And he left me, that darn friend of my, alone with my forthcoming tragedy and this awkward silence of a girl who just discovered a whole new world.
Dammit
"Um Evan?" Looking up from my hands, Violet suddenly beamed at me.
"Thanks for telling me this"
"You're welcome"
