Chapter 10

"What in the hell is he doing here?" The pilot shouted.  At that moment the stormtrooper who had betrayed the first order also came out, his hand automatically grabbing for his blaster when he saw me.  Leia and Rey both stepped in front of me, their hands raised in surrender. "Finn, put that down" Rey shouted at the traitor.  He looked shocked and maybe a little hurt but he lowered his weapon.  Leia stepped towards them, "Boys I think we need to talk".

I followed Rey inside the Falcon, looking around in wonder, I remembered this ship.  Several gasps went up as the rest of the resistance saw and Chewbacca rushed forwards, roaring into my face. Leia lifted her hands as she spoke "This is my son Ben.  He has put his own life on the line twice now to save our skin.  It is no coincidence that the First Order haven't managed to find us.  I want all of you" she paused looking between Poe and Finn "to listen to what he has to say".  Poe snorted but I ignored it.  "I have killed the Tie pilots who landed here and I have my shuttle waiting about a mile from here.  That shuttle has a hidden trapdoor.  I can take maybe four people maximum and keep them safe.  I would recommend this being your most important people" I said glancing at Leia and Rey "I can hide you temporarily on my base.  I believe if I take something from each of you I can convince my General that your key people are dead and, as long as you keep away and don't draw attention to yourselves then I believe that all of you can melt away into the solar system and disappear",  Poe grunted from the corner of the room, "Ok who is going to be crazy enough to hide out on a First Order base?" He said, his palms upturned looking around.  Leia stepped forwards "Actually myself, Rey and Finn will be doing just that" Finns head spun towards Leia and his mouth fell open in horror, "and you Poe, as the best pilot of the resistance, will be joining us".
